until you mentioned the new engine, i was worried for a minute. i have a 98 z28 m6 with a flopac, lm, b&m, and 3.73 posi, and when i raced an 06 gt the other night by the time i shifted into third i was already 4 lengths and still pulling. but good kill none the less.

A couple weeks ago i went to the track and i was paired up with a mildly modded 06 GT. This was my first run on this track and in my new TA(got it like a month ago). He got me of the line and when i shifted into second my wheels broke loose and i got sideways a few degrees. I stayed like that through 2nd and 3rd gear. When i was in third i passed him (sideways) and eventually got traction and put about 3.5 cars on him. When i finished i went to get my time slip and it was blank. My lanes computer sttoped counting at the 330ft mark. The mustang ran a 13.05 so i know i was in the 12's but i cant sohw it yet. i hope to get back to the track soon.

I had a kid try to run me in an '06 stang. The kid was a 16-17 year old smart a$$ showing off wth his girlfreind in the passenger seat. He pulled up at a light next to me and started to do a burnout with his foot on the break. Oh Yeah did i mention it was a V6! Normally I would have let it go but the kid was really asking for it. I gave it hell and poweshifted the entire time. Once I Hit about 105 I looked back and he was way back there. It was a priceless moment. P.S. I am not a stang basher

I respect all HIGH PERFORMANCE Mustangs, and 5.0s (3 generations back or so, like Stanger88's) cause they look real bada$$.

But when a punk in a v6 tries to showoff, and loses badly, it gives little reputation points to the good stangs out there.

Most deffinitely. I've said it plenty of times I love the fox bodies and the 99-04 stangs. The best race I've had yet was an 88 fox body with a 347 stroker. It was from a rolling 20 (it was his idea not mine but hey I didn't mind). This thing sounded pissed but I thought why not. It was SUPER Close. I barely edged him out both times (he wanted a rematch) what a rush. And afterwords he was really cool about it. He pulled over and wanted to know what I was spraying. I told him it was stock except a lid and exhaust and he had mad respect for the LS1. We shot the **** for awhile and went on our ways. 99.9% of the stang guys I know are cool as a fan its just the ones in the 16-17 year old bracket tend to be doucehes sometimes.

Oh ya, I have NEVER! raced anyone in a nice car (vette, GTO, Z28) that didnt want to pull over and find out what the hell was under my hood. Awesome people.

did u read my other post? as of right now it has 54 miles on it...im waiting at least till 500 hundred to go wot....i dont want to be rebuilding this one either my friend whos a mechanic built this one for me, bc. i had a warranty on the old motor...he has a 383 camaro and i trust what he says, he said a good break in should be between 500 and 1000 miles depending on what im doing.....i have a A4 and when i raced the kid i feathered it to where it shifted no farther then 3500 rpms...and i still beat him by the length...like i said in my old spun bearing motor...i beat a cammed cobra foxbody by 2.5 /3 cars, and a 03 gt by 4.5 /5 cars with the mods i have now...so i know if i wanted to open it up it wouldnt have been so close....but 3 wiggers arent worth another rebuild.....i figure in the old engine i had maybe 315, this came in at 328/339
