Impressed by a fast EVO.
(with nitrous!)
I give him thumbs up but he does nothing and just looks at me with a fake looking somewhat kind of smile. He made me think that maybe he didn’t like being beat or was still nervous of racing. He then makes another left turn and takes off. The passenger seemed cool though because my brother says he was pointing and nodding at us as we were pulling away. I wish he did not turn around and pull away because I would really like to know what he had. Last edited by Oatmeal; Jun 2, 2006 at 05:17 PM.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
The fastest EVO IIIX is AMS car which would cost over 30K to replicate it has run 9.41@156mph putting down 826whp. Now the car has 988whp and should trap 164mph ish, but the key is what E.T. The car is all over the place there is no such thing in a high HP AWD as "Dead Hook".
EVO's are great for all around cars. If you want a car that you can go autox, road course, and drag and be fairly competitive in all a EVO is worth looking at.
You can hit 11's with bolts ons under 3K trap 115mph+ and still kick butt on the roadcourse and autox. It's when you try to turn these cars into drag cars that all of the tranny, TC, axle, diff problems start to arise.
You LS1 guys don't have anything to worry about and the guys that are really into drag aren't!
