yeah, that was my first time thier!! were u thier that night? thier were some sweet *** cars thier!! i normally just go to the meet every friday night on prince william prkway in the B.J.s parking lot, it starts at around 6pm.

That is a near 500-600 pnd difference. My Fbody weighs 3310
Now, when youre side by side with one of these, it takes alot of torque to get that bitch moven again.
Here's the Stats:
Horsepower: 340 hp Max Horsepower: 5000 rpm
Torque: 390 ft-lbs. MaxTorque: 4000 rpm
The torque peak is at 4000RPM, where as the LT1's Tq peak is at 4800 ( more if modded ) and the LS1 is even better.
I think my LT1 when is was stock would take on of those R/T's from a 65 mph Roll... So if an LT1 would be close or beat it, an LS1 would most likely take the cake.
Not so say the R/T isnt a fast car, it is. But take away the momentum, and its a different ball game, plus the fact they only run low 14's anyways.
Anything can happen on the street, but I'll be damned if some white collar **** thinks he's gonna show me up in his new toy because he paid 25K for it, its got a mean face and it says charger on it.
Now an SRT8 is a different story. Thats a 425 HP engine. IT takes a large heads and cam kit to make an LS1 make numbers like that, imagine of you put a heads/cam on that hemi, stuffed it in a mid 90's Stealth with AWD, ( 3700 pnds ) and put 35's on it.

Everyone has missed the point that you raced a daytona, 5.7L and not the srt-8 version!
And I agree with another poster, in stock form, the average srt-8 will beat an average f-body at the track 9/10 times. There's factory freaks from both sides.
