late model GSX dies. Ran a turbo late model Eclipse GSX vert. He mas manual I belive. We ran from 65. I punched it at his rear bumper and he nailed it by the time I made it to his passenger door. It was a waste of time. I pulled sick busses by 95 on him. He had exhaust and blew lotsa black smoke. thats all i know about his mods. Anywho, sorry im not that descriptive.

it said GSX, I think it was a vert, maybe im wrong, but it said "TURBO" on a huge red taillight on the center in the back. I may be wrong about the'vert part. Not sure, but it wasnt a GS-T, the whole back end looked different, mainly the massive "TURBO" written in cursive on the huge rear tail light in the center (about a foot across)
Good kill. Sounds like the DSM was in need of a tune if he was blowing black smoke like you say. Probably an owner that didn't know his car very well. A lot of those cars can be had for so little money now that anyone can pick them up. They're getting into the hands of people that don't know what they're getting themselves into. Then they go out and try to race them and get embarassed.

HE was comparable to the RSX-S that I ran, maybe a BIT faster, but the RSX had passengers. Also I was EFI when I ran the RSX so I may have gained some power up top with carb, too many variables, but if he ran much under 15.0 I would be suprised, either that or im jsut sick

There are very few convertible AWD 2G Eclipse's. They are all hand done and none were made by the factory. Far more likely it was a non turbo turd or FWD with a tiny *** T25 on it.
Either way, isnt your car fast enough that you shouldnt be wasting your time/gas/tires with 15 second cars?

Indeed, but I have not raced anything with my new setup. I ran a 300ZX tonight, dunno if he was turbo or not, but I was BARELY FASTER THAN HIM. I think I saw the wing that denotes turbo, anywho, im sure the guy had mods. I will have to get to the track next weekend.
