Alright, I know people don't like these kind of threads, but I'm curious and need some other peoples imput.
What would a Ford lightning need to take an LT1 with LT headers, matching Y-pipe, CAI, and a tune? I know LT1's can run low 13's, even a 12.9 with these mods. What kind of trap speed does a lightning get stock?
Also, what do you think a lightning would run in the 1/4 (and trap speed) with just a catback?
Thanks guys.

my buddies lightning, i think its an 01 or 02, usually hangs with me most the time, he gets a little ahed of me off the line, but i usually catch up to him pretty quick, and sometimes i'll pull ahed about a car, sometimes he'll stay there beside me. All he has done is some kind of a catback, I forgot what kind.

Dont judge any mod motor lightning by the year. The diff between the 99/00-01/02 is minute and most people, if not all have upgraded. The upgrades were a beter after cooler (the one inside the Heaton), tuning, gears, and altelza taillights (lol). I may be missing one or two more things but nothing special. Lightnings are so easy to mod and 9 times out of 10 you wont know theyre modded just by looking under the hood. If you see a KB under there or a nitrous kit run away. The L > LT1

I knew I was forgetting something. That shouldve been the first thing I listed. Anyways, I have alot of respect for that truck. For the price and overall product I give it a B+. Woulve got a A if it came with more valves, and a forged engine. Rumor has it the 98/99's have forged pistons. I wonder when the Whiple 3.3 will ever come out for these trucks

Cant go wrong with either. I hated the Mach1 when they first came out. Took time for them to grow on me. I always wanted to do a TT Mach1 project but lost instrest during the planning stage lol.
