high priced
That also sounds very pricy to me. I payed $1500 for a rear end in a Jeep and I know that the only thing that was not new was the housing. all new gears, axles, and carrier. Last edited by 06sierra2500; Jun 27, 2006 at 04:55 PM.

. I'd be pissed if I saw someone doing burnouts in my car when they are supposed to be fixing it. Makes me angry just thinking about it. For ~2300 you can buy a brand new 9", so I think that is kind of high. Trending Topics

My buddys '01 WS6 went in for an oil change. They never called to say it was ready, so 3 hours later he goes to check on it. It's parked outside and reaking of burnt clutch. Gets in it and sure enough the clutch is F.U.B.A.R. He had to threaten legal action before they finaly fessed up. I'm sorry, it might just be Quicky-Lube or whatever but I would expect a little more professionalism.
Although I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted by the Viper
call a lawyer! teach em a lesson!
24 miles?!?! THATS IT?!?! They put a whopping 40 on my SS when it was in for service! I had left before noticing so there wasnt much I could do right? I complained to the owner and he gave me a free tank a gas
. Never again......... Neeeever again will anyone drive my car when I take it to a place like that. edit: You need to call the better business beareau. I woudn't put up with crooks!
Not even a new rear is total bs for $2000.
Yes, joy riding is horse **** if they are working on your car. I would have them fired, period.
I come to get the car serviced, not for some monkey boy to joy ride in it. I have no forgiveness for bs.
It's a professional job. I would take it to the top of management. They wouldn't be working their anymore.
My mother was getting her car serviced about 10 years ago. When she got it back, she strated up the car and the radio was so loud in the car, that it scared her when she started it up.
She was pissed, went back inside explained to management that he was too busy listening to the radio instead of fixing the problem. The manager said that sometimes, the service men listen to the radio while they are working. She told them bs, I"m here to get the car fixed and you are here to service it, not to listen to the radio. And on top of that, the radio was turned nearly all the way to full volume.
She said that's fine, put a call to chevy headquarters and explained to them what happend. After she told her what the manager said to them. They fired the manager and the service tech. They sided with her saying that they are there to work, not listen to the radio lesurely. That's what the shop radio is for, it's not their vehicle.

As far as him laying rubber, maybe he was trying to make sure it would not blow again...
