But certainly not good....and that was with Evan Smith driving.

I read something about Ford making the new Cobra bloweres so you could not do a pulley swap...you have to replace the entire pulley/neck assembly. Nothing cheap about that.

Ok, while we are on this topic about Mustangs. I have seen these Mach 1 '05-06 Stangs. What is the deal on those? I mean, don't get me wrong, they look badass! Have all the attributes of the old Machs, the flat black hood/spoiler, wheels, window accents. I used to have a yellow 1971 Mach 1 and I LOVED that car! What are the HP ratings on these cars?

The 429 was the monster that was in the Boss (they also had a Boss 302 and I believe a Boss 351). The GT500 had a 390 ci (6.4L) I believe.

But to answer the original poster, I read in the newspaper the other day that they are coming out with the GT350H, the "H" standing for the rental company Hertz. This is how it was back when it came out in '66 I believe and you could only rent them at Hertz. They are all black with gold stripes and they look very nice. I will try to find that newspaper and scan it if I can find it...if not I will search on my newspapers website.

*EDIT: Well, I couldn't find the article at my house or on its site, but I found this...

Didn't O.J. Simpson do commercials for the Hertz Rent-A-Cars?

12.2 @ 117mph is pathetic for a blown 500hp 4V 5.4L
Mustang with Ford GT heads and all the other goodies. There is no two
ways about it.

As I stated previously, 12.2 @ 117mph was with Evan Smith driving.
That means that the common man would run 12.70's @ 114mph, which
again is pathetic.

Iron block, blower, intercooler, heat exchanger, additional reservoirs, etc.
The blower setup definitely adds 100lbs or more. As for the rest of
the weight, apparently Ford just didn't find limiting weight all that important.
