180 mph is 3 miles in one minute, 1 mile every 20 seconds, 1/4 mile in 5 seconds. If you watch the light poles and count them you will see I pass 5 poles about 4 seconds. Use a stop watch if you like. I covered more then a 1/4 mile in 4 seconds, so using math you will see I was in fact doing the speed I claim. BTW where is your video to prove the center line goes solid? Was it on the eway or normal road? The gap between lines on the eway are spaced further apart and require over 200 mph to go into a straight line. I'll see if I can find the link to a viper running 212 mph and everything was a blur.

 

it was in a school zone so the lines were closer.....why don't you just hit the camera in the speedo....and prove me wrong....lol

Like the speedo would mean anything anyway. After getting the gauge cluster and pcm replaced after a massive power surge mine is like 20% underrated. So according to that I'm usually doing the speed limit .

I hadnt checked this thread in a long time....watched the video again. I think im going to side with him. I think the vid is in excess of 190. I had my 01 Formula 155+ a ton of times and I think there is def. another 30mph in that video from what I was doing. My no-swaybarred formy didnt stay very stable though haha.

Hopefully I can get some races in this spring and summer. Vids would be great too. Whplash will kill me off the line, and I should be able to hold him off from a roll (I hope) Now that he's got a new performance tranny, and the Meth kit, more boost will make his SS scream.

I'll always have this though, I beat Fadi's c6 zo6 in a race from 100-150. Shows where my car is strongest. Side note though, 4th gear is absolutely done at 152 mph and Fadi was coming on strong as I shifted into 5th. I think I remember Fadi saying he could hit 165 in 4th so he was still pulling while I was shifting. Damn those c6 Z's are

 

i run a dealership and our z06 landed yesterday.....after prep the service manager and i took it out for it's "break in" miles...lol....i was disappointed in certian aspects of the car...but that 427 at 7k rpm is like a great song that you wanna hear over and over again....

my c5 is much faster than a c6 zo6 ( well not MUCH faster ) but faster.... looks like i need to make a trip to detroit other than the woodward cruise....

sounds like your vette and my vette would be a great race...my car on 14lbs of boost puts down 688 rwhp.....and yes 100+ beyond is insane i have never owned a car that pulls like this does on the big end....

the car is going to green light motorsports in two weeks for a retune do to my new bigger cam and heads i just put on 2 weeks ago...also went with kooks long tubes and x pipe along with some other little things.....i just may need to make a new vid instead of trying to find my old one....

then what gears r u running??? 460 and 190+ **** that car is a runner!!!!

 

I have an m6 trans, with a built DTE stg III rear end. If you do the math, 5th gear at 7,000 rpms is good for 204.xxx mph. Don't have the hp to turn 6th gear at that speed. 6th gear is not for acceleration, gas saver only.

 

when u say DTE...do you mean dytotech in fort wayne??????? around here they do not have the best rep.....do you have the dte diff cradle also??? that is one thing they do right.... 6th gear in always been a second overdrive anyway.....the only car i ever had that would pull 6th was my twin turbo lingenfelter c5 i sold.....now that car was a blast....
