street racing "got cought by police"
Two buddies of mine were racing in Orange County, Ca. The police caught them. The cop was trying to pull both of them over but when he pulled one, the other left the scene. The guy who got caught got a ticket for street racing his car impounded for 30days. I was wondering how much is that fine and the consequences?

And the impound, if its not under his name. You can get it back tommorow, just go to the police department and talk to the sargent.

I got a question? If you get pulled over for street racing, would they let you go if you have a courtesy card or if your friend is a fireman who is in the car with you at the time? My friend (fireman) seems to be confident that he wont get ticketed for racing or speeding..............

Don't let me catch you in a lie though, then you can count on the ticket. The best way to get out of a ticket in my opinion is to pull over as quickly and safely as possible. Hold hands in the view of the officer and if its dark turn the dome light on. Sit still, look straight ahead, and be polite and calm.
If you are nervous, you may make the officer nervous. Good luck. The sticker I am referring to is a departmental sticker, just ask for one, and you may get it.

i was pulled over for grabbing 2nd pretty hard,in front of a san jose cop, woops!!he told me that the exhibition of speed and stret racing ,since they are cracking down on it is pretty harsh as of jan,2006,the first ticket is a misdemenor, loose your license for a year, impound your car for 30 days and minimum of a $1500 fine,if you get caught a second time they can and he said will sell your ride.I feel damn lucky that he let me off on a warning,oh did i thank him.As i would have been fucked.
