Theres no way a civic can weigh 1300lbs . Hell even the new Lotus weighs in a 1980lbs.

Sounds like this guy is dreaming or either story telling.

1) No it wasn't. Unless of course this again was a dream.
2) No he didn't. Again, dreaming.
3) Kilograms?
4) Seriously. Weakest B.S. story ever. Ok, maybe not ever. But bad.

So you pulled over 12 car lengths from a dig to ###? But only pulled 4-5 from a roll to 135? FWD isn't quite that damn bad.

A 220 whp car that is gutted and less than 2200 lbs. is not going to lose to a maybe 300 whp 3600 lb. car. I don't care whether it was a Honda or a Geo. Especially by 12+ cars from a dig. a 220 whp Honda like that should be in the 12's pretty easily.

why does everyone think its b.s? i didn't say i weighed the car all i know is what he told me. its not like i could pick it up and say oh yea its 1323 lbs. and his dry rotted tires did spin like a bitch and thats probably the reason i pulled like i did. but if he was to have better tires he could probably beat me or at least stick at my door. and i just guessed at his horsepower because thats what he said and he may not be right but he knows a hell of alot more about his car than i do.

We belive you. But just a little info, 99% of cars do not weight under 2000 lbs. And who would have a 220 whp Honda and then have dry rotted tires? He must have been stupid as ****. And another thing, what motor was in this car? All motor?

Nevermind. I see it was a N/A LS motor. He MIGHT make 160 whp. Spinning to 4th? I don't care if he was on ice, I don't see that.

Nice kill.

Maybe he makes "200hp" at the crank? LOL Good kills...Ive never really worried too much about the little cars here in town. A lot of talk and i think 1 or 2 cars have ever ran in the 13s after months and months of talking trash. Of course if you were in a big city (chicago for example) then I might worry.

I think if you really stripped one of those old Honda's it would be ridicuoulsy lite. I know a shop in town has a little hatch completely gutted, i mean everything you can think of is gone except the drivetrain. you can pick the back end off the ground! This one has a motor swap and some big *** turbo on it.
I raced a 90-91 hatch with a turbo and fmic in my lt4 ta, i pulled him on a roll pretty nice, but he jumped me from a dig and i had to pass him at about 60mph. So you DO need to watch some of those little "ricers'

wow i was reading this tread and it reminded me of something that happened to me. i had this guy at work with a friend in CRX with only header, intake and he said he would beat me, at first i wasnt going to race him but he got on my nerves so i agreed to run him. so i get there im on street tires and i notice he has slicks in the back and said he is running on them so i tell him that was fine, anyway the interior was stripped out and stuff, it took 2 little guys to lift the car to change the tires. so it wasnt very heavy. any way since he was on slicks he got out ahead of me but i ran him down and beat him by 1 car leangth in the first race ( i got a bad launch) and by 2 cars in the second. first race was right at a 1/4 mi and the second was inbetween 1/8 and 1/4. the funny thing is all they did at the end was accuse me of spaying. i hate it when people make excuses.

2200 ~ 2300lbs is probably about right for the average "street" civic that people race with. Granted that is light as hell... but not 1300lbs.

??? It seemed very usefull in my 2000 Integra Type R on street tires.

1300 pounds...do people actually believe this when they type it them selves???

LS, I agree, we ran a gutted (big time) JDM RHD Civic Type R at Laguna Seca two years ago, it tipped the scalles at 1895 with no gas and no driver.

Hell I dont even think a shell weigh 1300lbs. A dry carbon fiber civic may weigh that much but your talking about 1000's of dollars

hahahah i wanna see a stripped civic with a bolt on h/c LS1 squished in it. Put it in the conversion section. I don't care if you have to sawz all the front of it to just get the manifold in. it can be done! i wanna see 450 horses in a 2300 pound car. better cut the fenders and put some giant *** slicks in too while you got the sawz all out.
