HAHA! Yeah, the 'ol man needs to get that car out of the damn garage and run me for sure! If it does happen, don't worry my LS1 brethren! I will get it on video! He daily drives a c6 corvette, so he does have some sophistication!

I drove a 95 viper to 8.14 in 1/8. a 2001 viper at 7.98 in 1/8 and a 2001 z06 dynoed stock at 364rwhp and 365ftlbs with drs at 7.81 in 1/8. I think if u can drive you have him hands down, just shut it down at the 1/4. hell pass you at the top

Well I just bought a red 99 rt10 with 450 hp and 490 rwt at the crank about 2 hours ago...I cant vouch for the gen 1 vipers but i can guarantee you that my 378 rwhp and 370 rwt 2004 auto C5 would have gotten smoked by the 99 Viper I have sitting in my garage right now...
I think my C5 would have needed 400 rwhp to even be close to this car....
Whats even trippier is that the registration for my auto C5 said it weighed 3310 pounds..The registration for my new 99 rt10 says it weighs 3390 pounds...Not as much as a differance as I thought there was gonna be weight wise.
But yea the vipers are pretty sick....Honestly since the Fbodys are around 200 pounds heavier than my C5 i think a Fbody needs around 410 rwhp to be even with a gen 2 viper...But this guys 400 rwhp should be more than enough for the gen 1...
Go get him and post up already!!!!!!!!!

You also got to remember you vette had a cam with no stall and 2.73 gears!

My C5 ran a 12.8 at a track were the fastest bone stock 02 Z06's run 13.0 and the fastest bone stock gen 2 vipers run 12.6..
The air is just like florida and the track went up hill....So everyone was about a half second slower than what they would run at a track in the main land...
So my 12.8 at 111 mph is actually pretty fast by my tracks standards...especially when the stock gen 2 Vipers are trapping 113 mph here..
I think my Viper MIGHT have ran a 12.6 at 113 on a perfect pass at this track.

mikey that sold gus his red viper has a stock viper and he ran 12.2 on street tires at hawaii racway park but he has hundreds of passes with vipers I should be around 11.7-11.9 or so ps i have beat a A4 car that runs 11.3's but thats on the street to different worlds at the track he gets like 1.5 60fts!!!

oh i gave also seen a silver Z06 running 12.5 on street tires all night long! And that was at hawaii raceway parks crapy track! He was slipping the clutch a lot to get traction!!v So 12.2's very possable with a good track!
hell my M6 99 z28 with ls6 intake, pacesetter headers, ory, catback stock tune Ran 12.9@ 110mph with full weight and a 255lbs driver and 3/4 tank of gas too! I dynoed 340/350 with that setup the tune was $hitty too!
So most Z06 dyno around 360whp 3,100lbs low 12's easy hell you could see some 11's with tires and a good driver!!

Yea I made Mikey a offer on that red GTS Viper before Gus got it..
But you are somewhat mistaken..Mike ran the 12.2 with his only mods being DR's..100% bone stock he ran a 12.6....
So DansRedZ28...PM me and we'll set a race up between your modded camaro and my stock Viper....
Well go a few times with you NA....And then a few times with you on the juice. Should be fun.
then well post up that night.
