Jeremy Clarkson - Probably the most well known motoring journolist.
THANKS.
REAL SAD to hear about Rich, I remember his exploits real well and he seemed to have a very promising career ahead of him.
I guess I've become out of touch with that world since I let my Autosport subscription lapse (due to the $350.00 it costs over here now ), and Speed (channel) dropping the WRC coverage this year.

Yes, I've heard of Tim Harvey. Was he on the Mondeo team at one time??

I'm not too sure on that, they are heavy, like well over 4000lb.
Sorry to tell you man, but they are only 3800 lbs. And yes they will handle better than a camaro.

The '91-'93 TTs are 3,8xx lbs but the 94-96 Stealth TTs are 3,6xx lbs. Not sure about the '94-'99 VR-4s, they kept the AWS, so they're still probably in the 3,7xx lb range. The VR-4 Spyders are over 4,000 lbs.........

Yeah but they are still heavy. And what do you mean by handle?

traction, lateral grip and handling are all very different things. And coming from someone who is used to sophisticated lightweight cars I personally think the Fbody handles incrediable well for the size of car it is. Just lacking a little in high speed body control.

I now have a 2000 WS6 M6 but my last car was a 94 Steath TT with the AWD and AWS. Not saying it is the gospel truth but the Stealth felt like it handled better. The AWD was better for holding corners and the AWS which only operate at speeds greater than around 30 was superb for high speed maneuvering. The stealth was also very much more stable at high speeds. When I top out the WS6 I am sweating and holding on for dear life not knowing if the front end is just going to take off up in the air but with the Stealth you could adjust the radio, get something out of the back seat or even take a quick nap and still feel in control. It is a hard comparison because the Steatlh tt's/VR4's vs the F-bodys are totally different cars but in the end I give the handling edge to the Stealth/VR4.

I agree they "feel" like they handle better, but id like to see some real world results on the two. I have driven my buddies 99 vr4 multiple times and again I agree that they feel like they are handling better, but I dunno I could hang with him around pretty much every corner on the stock z28 suspension...

My 92 3000gt VR4. I loved this car, but it was a pain in the *** for me. Always not working right. Of course, that could be any car. I feel the f-body has an advantage because the driver isn't shitting himself every two seconds that the knock sensor is chiming....

Here's our '95 TT. So far it hasn't broken.......... Unlike the '91 TT that has a messed tranny. But it is a 15 year old car with almost 117k and has had no 60k or 90k service......so it's gonna get a 120k service, eventually.......

I was racing on twisty roads. I was able to hit 130 where it started to straighten out and not have any pothole. Some of the roads around here will tear up anybody suspension.

Yeah, some of the Texas/western/southern state people on here would not believe some of the PURE $H!T roads we northeasterners are forced to drive on!!

It was a lot different racing when I was in FL. Straight, flat roads that you can see from Miami to Jacksonville. In PA, it is pothole after pothole into a turn that goes up and down a mountain.

I wish I could get out to a place like the Salt Flats. Just open it up and let it fly.

Good kill. I raced a VR4 once, they accelerate fast but not as fast as LS1s stock for stock, I ended up putting a few cars on him rather quickly.
