They're low 13 second cars (yes some have dipped into the 12s, but that is NOT the norm) stock. Yes, an LS1 can take one, but only if your driving is top-notch.

i raced an RT and took him pretty easily, i havnt ran across an srt-8 yet but im sure it would put up a decent fight.... im guessing the weight is nearly identicle to the chrystler 300 so if that helps any...

i raced the yellow srt-8 charger and we went from about 40 to 140 and i had him .he slowly started coming back then we stopped racing.i here they go real nice off the line though .i just have slp loudmouth n hooker headers.ls1 camaro

They can be fast yes. They pull low 13 seconds on the track. From a dig, you could beat it. On a roll, be careful. I'm not sure how the aftermarket scene is for these cars but give a a year or two and there will be more modified SRT-8's that will kick your *** if you ain't watching.

my srt8 with intake ran 12.88 on goodyear run craps. very quick car for the weight. with the new B&G flash and diablo predator programmer we have gotten one here in AZ into the 12.50 range consitently!
