then either he wasnt running turbo, or he absolutley sucked at driveing, in all fairness, a 300 hp civic, power to weight ratio alone would beat an trans am, llike i said he did hang for a second, but i took over and just kept losing him. however maybe you should read what i posted a little while ago, i said he came to me and then gave me a sarcastic attitude. if it wasnt for that, i wouldnt have said anything. its not really like me to talk crap to people i dont know, especially the way this world is today, you never know whos gonna pull a gun out just because of something like that, people are crazy. anyways, he just had alot of sarcasm and i wasnt gonna take it, especially from a guy in a civic. the problem is that i was trying to not make my story a damn novel and take up half a page just for that. i wanted to keep it short and sweet, and seeing how this is a site for american muscle, i figured you guys would know how these honda heads are. apparently not.

I have spent very little time in CA, but from what I hear the NA 4cylinder FWD crowd there is just a leage apart from elsewhere. Makes no sense to me, since some of the best small block pioneers came out of SOCAL. Sad.
Anyway you cut it, nice kill to start out with. Any plans for the immediate future mods wise? I guess you have to worry about CARB morons, but plenty to do there

LOL, I first sighned on here because my next project is an LS1, probably in a FC RX-7, but maybe in a BMW mid 90s 3 series. Nobody will see that coming LOL.
My current project is actually a DSM. 2.4L, mild setup (stock head/cams/manifold) with a stock turbo right of an Evo III and a stock intercooler right off a Supra, possibly upgrading both later. Im going to try for 11s myself, but I doubt it will get there as is. Possible, but unlikely.
Most folks in SRK are running most of the bolt-ons and mid 300 WHP. Some are a bit nastier than that though
Good idea on the getting a DD. My DSM is my DD, and I am the only person I know who is A) Crazy enough and B) Lucky enough to pull that off while doing an engine swap. DDs make modding a lot easier. You can park it and take your time.

I'm not trying to argue with you, just discuss, but I don't think it would. I don't know too much about honda's but I've had a lot of modded one's race me when I had my dsm. There was a gsr swapped civic with a bunch of bolt on's that claimed to have been somewhere in the 13's which is awsome but not enough to beat an ls1 imho. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but I've personally seen practically stock ls1's run really low 13's to really high 12's, and the more power that civic is putting to the wheels the harder he's having with traction. The rwd factor for the ls1 is a big advantage in itself, even if the race is from a roll (unless it's like a 3rd gear roll, but 2nd gear if it was making any real power it should have spun hard).
Actually that make's me wonder, did the turbo'd honda spin at all during the race?
