Its pretty sad that so many people buy a given car not because they like it or have fun with it but because they want to be the big tough guy and talk smack while safely enclosed in a ton and a half of steel.

I think I'll be really cool and talk a bunch of trash that I cant/wont back online and while I'm speeding away in my car all the time. That shows how much more intellegent I am than those people who dont have a car as fast as me.

If everyone was as smart as I am, they would all either buy LS1s (regardless of weather they subjectively like the looks/feel/price) or just berate their own cars to please me and be right in my personal estimation. If they think they might win and then loose, they should be denounced as morons. Dont they understand that what I think they should do means more than their own decisions? While if I challenge a car that I know will beat me, I am brave and cool and easy going. If I loose, it will be because they spent more money than me. Or I will in actuallity win because their car is not as nice as mine and I like mine more regardless of the fact that I just lost.

I am not talking about the OP here, but some of you are more interested in being an a highschool-like clique and talking smack than actually enjoying a hobby. That is plain pathetic. Like so many other messed up things in modern life, people are more interested in being on team A and hating team B than the actual game itself. I see it with import lifestyle dumbass types too. Its no different except they use a few different buzz words and reverse some of the titles.

You are an idiot. Giving the thumbs down is bad form, no matter who you give it too. And the best doses of reality are your taillights, wouldn't you agree?

That's how it goes
Again, thumbs down is just bad form. I thought the ruffles thing was funny. But when said ricer compliments you on your car and races from a dig, which is pretty rare except for the evo's and wrx's, he definitely did not deserve a thumbs down. I also did not see in the post where the ricer was being openly sarcastic, that was posted later on in the thread.

To the OP, glad to know that you felt bad about the thumbs down and thanks for the rest of the story. Here's to a long time of crushing ricers' hopes and dreams with some dignity.

These responses remind me why I only come in here when I am bored stiff, there are too many immature brats (not you OP) that just want to bash people and/or ricers. You people need to grow up and stop playing like tough guys.

Californias Inland Empire has that highest concentration of ricers, who take great pride in knowing it took 5-6 grand and a more than likely completely different drivetrain to beat stock/near stock faster cars(with the exception of the newer AWD Turbo rice rockets). Whenever someone compliments my car(a nice lookin Z) this dumb *** ricer always says "I beat him" and brags about all the money he put in his car until we walk away so eve the fast ricers are still ricers out here. BTW nice kill I beleive that was a turbo GSR.

Two hondas at our local track were running 12s ,one was supercharged desol with engine swap and one was ghetto civiced with stock motor. The civic running respectable 12.6s and the desol was 12.5s. They were both on slicks to have any hope of traction. On the street on street tires doubt they would be that fast off the line from a roll they would do better.
Couple other hondas think actually were also in the mid 14s not sure on what mods they had maybe nitrous.. most were way way slower.
Year ago I had the vert and it didn't have the current mods ,no stall,no 58tb,no
underdrive and the zex kit in sig is still in the box. I came up beside a blue turboed civic that day and they were talking the **** beside me .The guy I think just bought the car and doubt he had the slightest clue about tuning it. It was on street tires not slicks. They were saying something about running easy 13s or something and would easily waste my purple vert. I think they might have figured the purple z28 was in fact a v6. The black emblems didn't show up that well on purple in the evening.
We launched and I beat the turboed civic to the tune of like 14.3 at 96mph to 16.5 at like 85.I had like a 2.18 60ft didnt' even bother heating the nittos that run and he ran think like a 2.85 and pretty sure he had to get out of it due to wheelspin.
He came back up beside me in the staging lanes a few runs later and he asked the track guy to put him beside someone else!
It was funny I don't think he broke 16s that day. The car might /should have been very fast but on street tires it was a waste of time.My nittos were my ace in the hole.Without them would have been quite a bit slower myself.

I have had a lot of hondas try my various cars off the tracks and no honda losses yet.I know there are some fast ones out there though as just said about the two at the track running 12s. The stock one blew the engine the next day.

And for the dsm guy I have a 2.4 motored dsm. With a way bigger turbo than an evo on it. Its currently my fastest car. The vert when finish modding it in next year or so should be close to it on spray. The 99 ta should walk most turboed 4 bangers without too much problem when that project is finished another year or two on that one.

Haha i love the attitude you have because someone drives a civic. I used to hate imports until about 6 years ago when i realized the potential they had and just how much fun it would be to bust guys in f-bodys and other v8 cars asses and have had my car ever since. Dont worry though the civic is just a daily driver the race car stays in the garage (79' z28 xtreme street, 8.71@161). Dont get me wrong im not hating on the LS1 community, i had one back in 01' and still know alot of cool people with them. All im saying is lighten up man, the guy was just trying to be social and you clowned him.
