Your altitude must be crazy for you to only be running in the 14s and with a gear that makes it even worse

 

ive raced several, on 7 psi with minor mods a stock lt1 can eat one from a dig, and usually pull it decently from a roll, a stock ls1 would kill it. Most of the ones around here that are basically stock, just exhaust intake and a boost controller usually dont see better than a 13.9, they just kick *** from a roll. My experience has been i can take almost all of them from a dig, through at least the 1/8 mile, if theyre upgraded they can usually beat me from a roll. My best friend has a 90 240 sr20 red top, lightweight flywheel, 3 inch exhaust, apexi intake, on 7 psi cant keep up from a dig, but from 30 to 80 i can get only about 2 carlengths. I have an lt1 a4, K&N fipk, throttlebody bypass, airfoil, hi flo cat, flowmaster muffler.

 

yep, that's the downside is out of the hole. turbo upgrade helps a bunch. but still a bolton ls1 would take one i think. I'll see soon. i'll run mine with lid and catback at the track and compare times.
