That must have hurt to see your supercharged GT all over the parking lot!
Well I hope you get your T/A built up without it being slammed to pieces by the morons out there running the streets. Do you have plans for nitrous or s/c anytime soon?

It wasn't the most.... pleasent.... experience i've ever had that's for sure. Guy didn't leave a note or anything either - and I had a hell of a time dealing with my insurance company. Luckily I sold the shell and supercharger for $3,600 and a few other pieces for some cash so I got a good deal of my money back. still very disheartening though especially when I think about how much of a pain in the *** it was putting it all together.

I don't think i'm going to go the supercharged route this time - if I did I would go with a procharger, I don't think I would ever to a vortech kit again. Not that it was a bad charger, I just didn't like the setup or the oil return lines.

I have the stall and gears going in next monday(3.73's with 3,600 2.2str), after that my plan is a Typhoon Intake, Pacesetter LT's - ORY - electric cutout.
Then back to the giggle juice! I really like nitrous - so I think i'll go with a 125 wetshot. Probably a Cold Fusion wetkit.

Should be a pretty nice streetable but fast (especially on the juice) setup.
Eventually I imagine i'll go with a cam of some sort, but those are the near future plans.

What are you doin to that Terminator of yours? Pulley / full exhaust / tune? Gotta love those 03/04's.

if you look throughout the history, the 5.0 which was orignally rated at 225HP over the years actually lost HP from the factory, causing it to be re-rated at 205 HP (i believe) due to minor changes throughout the years.

So you figure the cobra had about 30more HP over the regular 5.0. That would sound about right for a upper / lower intake, and slighlty different MAF / TB.

There is a lot of info out there about the differences. Either way the Cobra was sexy and i'd kill to get my hands on a real one.
The 5.0 was rated at 225 from 87-92 like you said, 93 being 205 BUT ford also changed the way they tested the motor. In 93 the motor was fully dressed with all engine driven accessories which also led to the 205hp rating take that stuff off and test it how the 87-92's were tested an it would be around the same plus the minor changes in the cam profile an things. That's besides the point.

Now the 93 cobra had more then an intake and MAF/TB. It had GT-40 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, 24lb injectors, a different computer which is a piece of ****, and a milder cam which also doesn't do much for the motor. From everywhere i have read they were underrated an were actually about 265hp which would be about right since it had alot more then just an intake and MAF/TB. Not to mention it had suspension upgrades, 4 wheel disc brakes, and 17in wheels, stronger t-5 etc. etc. . So they was kinda special compared to a regular run of the mill 5.0 and with a completely different motor i would suspect it to be quite abit faster then a regular 5.0 too.

Not meaning anything negative towards you just correcting your statement

The warranty just expired on Termie so it is now mod time! MGW shifter is definitely first thing. Stock shifter is a piece of junk! Then k & n system and a pulley plus a tune. Not sure on which exhaust to get yet. Don't want to go too loud. After that it's porting the Eaton or a new KB. S/C might have to wait. I'm determined for this car to be paid off by end of next year!
A full paint job is in order in the spring. I've got six different panels that have been hit, scratched, etc. Should be pretty sharp when it all comes together.

I believe they dyno 225-230 rwhp bone stock. It just takes putting a good cam and full exhaust and maybe gears and the 93 cobra will run with a stock ls1 all day long. I've seen a few run 106-107 mph trap speeds with only those mods and a good driver.

best shifter ever, had one in both of my mustangs.

93 Cobra R's were red. Regular cobra's were available in diff. colors. My buddy has a black one.
