You guys really dog on the new Mustangs. The new Mustangs are mid 13 sec cars. With a CAI, tune, and 4.10's it should be running low 13's. Thats why the Camaro lost.

 

If I come by Houston, sure, I dont mind at all, just love to know where I said your 5.0 is slow and my LS1 is mighty? Perhaps you can point that out for me?

 

I respect the new Mustang entirely, with gears and a tune I hear it really wakes them up as stated. I just think its sad that after 7 years it still cant beat a 98 LS1 Camaro, with equal drivers of course. Cant wait for the new Camaro though, should make Ford up the level, along with the introduction of the new Challenger.

the shifter in the camEro looks like of that off of an LT1. i thought all LS1's cam with the hurst i could be wrong and probably am. but looked like an LT1 to me, too much music

I could not hear anything either but who knows maybe its ragged out or maybe those cars brought more to the race than he did...run what you brung. You really should know how to drive what you brought as well.

the SRT just walked away... and 3-4 shift stock is about 100mph i didnt think those cars had top end

Stage 3's are definitly no joke...high 11's from a roll I can see the S3 SRT4's doing low 12's with slicks and a good driver. They will always be faster from a roll on the street though.


It all looked about right,especially if the mustang was modded.

 

Well I have saw Basically stock M6 LS1's walk away on the top side from those neons, hell i raced one a few weeks ago with a bunch of bla bla hoo hah (didnt pay attention to his ramblings about how fast his car was) M6 with 4.11 walked away worse than that guy did the camaro from a 70 kick

and wouldnt top end be according to gearing... I have personally never rode in one but to me there still a neon

 

i have one myself, i guess i'm just lucky. i've seen tons of the fbodies with them, Z28/SS or WS6/TA. seen tons of them

everybody always rags on the driver error deal...when they showed him shifting he was already getting his *** handed to him, he probably was done racing and just shifting normal...??? he just didn't look like he was trying too hard to catch up as if he had a chance.

Na, me neither, I was just saying its a bunch of LS1/GM guys, its of course going to cause a stir when you post a LS1 kill video or something similar. Im always up for a fair cruise/race though if we are in each other's towns.

 

Stage 3 Neons came from the factory for one of the last years of their production right? I wonder what kind of tires they stuck on that stage to make it hook or attempt to from a dig, from what I hear they are a bitch to launch from a dig period.?.?

 

stock or aftermarket.......im from texas and i didnt get one .......maybe it's standard on SS/WS6 and an option for Z/ta/formula............a woman owned my car before i got it.........it was all stock.........maybe she didn't know how important a short throw shifter is....lol....i'll just have to pay 180 and get one

 

Whole thing was staged or THEY told the Camaro to " Video" us (GT and SRT-4) racing and the Camaro wasnt even racing. Or....he just needs to be shot.

 

THe car didnt even rock or pull back on the shifts... when my car was stock and i shifted it would still pull the nost up higher and rock the whol car back... i mean i drive the ***** off my car but still any decent shifting should have the car rocking back...

The video seemed to be in slowmotion as somebody said... i just dont know what to make of it. And again as somebody else stated.. that car was way too quiet... way too quiet... my car wasn't that quiet stock.

I think it was a V6... there is nothing showing that would be a V8... you dont hear the (muffled) sound of a V8... the car isnt slamming into gears regardless of driver... it seriously looks like its just cruising.. or going all out for a V6. Maybe its a LS1 running on six cylinders?
