was just about to go into country kitchen when this nice looking/sounding firebird drives by real slow. heard a mild cam so i walked out to the street. he comes back and parks. we talk for a minute or 2 i ask him what he has in it he say its a 99 ls1 with full bolt ons mild cam (didnt know the specs) patriot heads (didnt know which heads) and 3600 stall. ask him if he wants to do a highway roll from 40 or so. he agrees. he follows me to the spot i slow down to 35~40 he 3 honks we both hit it and stay dead even to about 115. stop to talk, tell him i have full exhaust full intake gears/moser 12 bolt and free mods. turns out he's got the dyno chart from his tune, without the stall he made 397 rwhp and a nice flat torque curve. cool guy, cool car sweet race!
