My only real death (haven't had alot of races on the street) was to a Mercedes SL55. We started at about 60 and he instantly put like 4 cars on me, I gave up pretty quickly. Those things are crazy fast.

And my buddies similarly modded but 6 spd z28 got me by about half a car from 60 - 120. I dont even really consider it a death cuz a. hes a good friend b. I had an extra person in the car c. I had bigass 11.5" ET Streets slowing me down on the top end.

edit: It was an AMG BTW.

 

not too many deaths in my 4th gen camaro but i could go on and on about my old 3rd gen and gbody hahah but ive got that small town syndrome so theres not a whole lot of competition..
- '04-5? lambo murclucio(no idea how to spell it but thats what it sounds like) he had a good 3car lengths on me by the top of 1st lol
- a kit cobra with foot wide tires, all i know is that it was a big block ford.. he murdered me off the line then let off half way thru 2nd
- SRT10 viper w/ a borla exhuast wasted me on the highway from 40-90 both in 3rd
- '05 modded/pullied ford GT, same guy who has the srt10, we both were getting on the highway at the same time and he flew by me like i was standing still as i was getting deep into 2nd
- '04 STI, all CF panels.. was as loud as my camaro.. all i got out of him for mods was 'everything'. had it in 4th but should of ben in 3rd so 1st race from 65 he put 2 cars on me to 90, 2nd time around he only got 1 car on me then he dipped off an exit

 

5 in the cobalt and none in the vette yet. Lost to an srt-4 60-100 he had 2 cars. a 350z 20-120 he had 3 cars, a 98 trans am 0-70 he had 5 cars, a supercharged 94 z28 0-70 he had 12 cars. and a pullied exhaust cobalt 0- 70 he had 3 cars.

 

Dan forgot to mention that he has an LSx in his Mach, . What setup you got now? I told Hendrick I may roll to the next Arlington meet with you guys, .

I have lost to a ferarri by a car lenght(NO NITROUS For me), two losses to a CL65AMG (two different car's on two different acations and both barley pulled me)(again NO NITROUS for me and got me by a car), a sprayed WS6 (again NO NITROUS for me and he got me by 1.5 car's),and one loss with my brothers car, him an all motor 68 camaro and me spraying a 150shot! I'm guessing I'm putting around 570RWHP and he still got me by a fender, I launched and hooked too. BTW he left a burnout marks half way down the 1/4 mile track.

 

There is a guy here in town that I know (Chico) who has a little civic that is turbocharged. Now keep in mind this car is NOT rice. It is a nicely done turbo civic. I appreciate anything that makes good power and is quick to boot no matter what end of the car is is doing so. He is a good guy, straight shooter and down to earth. Anyway, I see him on the bypass and he waves for me to slow down. I do so and he tells me that they are doing some street racing down the road and to follow him. I agree and we begin to play around. Well I hit it and he hits it and at 60-mph I can literally see the torque steer in his car making it drift around in the lane spinning and I am ballz out (The bottle is off.). Once the car hooks up he straps about 4 on me like I am tied to a stump and lets off. We get out to where we are headed and he asks me if I had the bottle on and I tell him no. He says - "I didn't think so." but to be honest I am not sure who would win between his car with the boost turned up and some high octane fuel and my car with the bottle and 110 fuel from a role but I damn sure wouldn't put any money up running from a role. The power to weight ratio of that car is stooooooopid and that little bastard is M-E-A-N!!! Bottom line is Chico - 1 / Big Geek - 0.

well i got beat my dads pullied, tuned and on drag radials lightning he ran an 8.54 in the 1/8 and i ran an 8.74 this was back when i was stock on DR's. and now this past sat. i got beat by a cammed ws-6 by 1- 1/2 cars those cammed cars pull so F**king hard on top end.

 

You dont live in or near Atlanta do you because theres a guy who owns a Yellow modded FGT and a couple vipers and use to own a Lambo murci.

 

Lets see with the TA -

First loss - Old VW Gold N/A, no spray or anything... left the TC on horrible launch, started to pull when I closed in on 100 but let off (was at the track)
Second loss - Can't think of anything else!

Not that the car is super fast, its stock, but haven't really raced it much, too much rice around our place and they don't want to screw with the car.

I guess there is some guy in a 3000GT N/A that is bragging he beat me to his GF or something, Saturday I was omw and this guy just stayed behind me on the freeway, wouldn't get next to me, I take off to move around traffic and get on a exit, then he zips ahead cuts someone off and ducks down the same exit. I get ahead of him in traffic then he manages to get ahead of me, he comes to the front of a light and tries to block me off but I am too close and he stays in his lane. I think it could be a TT look over and just see it has the 24V DOHC badge on it. Light turns green I go halfway through first (30ish) short shift to second and slow down, then he does a fly by, almost rear ends someone, changes lanes, almost slid through an intersection hitting another car, after car is clear he blows the red light, goes ahead to another light and ducks down the road so I can't chase him.

In my GTP -

First loss - My Trans Am, wife was driving and kicked my ***.
Second loss - Raced a friend in his stock GTP (i have 3.4 pully with supporting mods) I blew the launch, by the time I hit about 80 started to reel him in fast but ran out of room (track also).

Not many people race the GTP, probably because it is a four door, and in the off chance they do race it or mess with it, when the S/C whine goes they act like I'm not even there.

Pulled out of the car wash and caught the first light. A cammin, geared GT pulled next to me. He launched - I let the clutch out and felt like I was in the water box with the line lock on. Next light he looked at me and said "tires a little wet?". Too much traffic for another go. Next time... Maybe

 

I have one lost. I was in my '01SS with lid, catback, !rear seats, !spare tire, and !AC. I was racing a 98 Vette with just a catback. Both of us were on stock tires. We went heads up and I spun pretty bad and he jumped out 2-2.5 on me and at the end I closed the gap to 1. We went again heads up and this time he only jumped 1-1.5 on me and I got him by 1. So I'm glad my only loss came to a fellow LS1er, lol.

 

When I was just a lid/FTRA and welded on muffler I lost to a modded to hell SRT-4 from a 30 punch. Guy said he'd just come back from having a tuning session on the dyno and was putting down 425 to the wheels. I can't vouch for the number, but I can say he did pull me fairly hard.

Lost in my current mod level to a '95 Grand Marquis...

Don't laugh he had a transplanted V10 and twin turbos. Runs consistant 11.80s We went from a 10 punch because he was on bologna rinds.

I lost in my C6 to a 2G DSM this past weekend. It had a built motor with a 50 trim and if I am not mistaken, boostin around 25 lbs. He had me by a car. Major props to a properly built and maintained DSM.

 

Im actually the same as RK 2000Z/28, I have only lost once, because noone has really raced me, and all I know about the guy is that it was an open cutout, 6 speed WS6, I got tuned the following weekend, and picked up 30ish rwhp, I have been looking for him ever since. lol

 

The only two street losses that come to mind are
1. Big turbo 200 SX when I was stock. Too many car lenths to remember
2. Full bolt-on S3 SRT-4 in HOM from a roll with me on the bottle. About a lenth
