Lol dam, I wouldnt go as far as to say that STI's are slow, rice, or look bad at all... STI's are a classy import... and not only that, but they sound so fking awesome with full catless exhaust. Its no LS1, but it really does sound good and deserves that credit. My friend's STI ran a 13.0, forgot the trap speed, but i can post that tomorrow. He ran the 13.0 with just a header, CAI, and a downpipe with the rest of the catback stock. Thats pretty dam good if u ask me. Ofcourse, same mods on an LS1 and the LS1 is into the 12's (which hopefully ill accomplish on saturday), but still, u gotta give some credit to that 4 banger, its no civic at least

Well I would..they put down 230WHP, and look like a car out of the Fast and Furious. Huge wing and all. They are not "classy" at all, they are the definition of "boy racer". A "classy" import would be somthing like an Infiniti G35, the STI is the opposite of "classy".

Personally I think they sound like ****, and with an exhaust they only sound worse. What do you expect, its a 4 cylinder, they don't sound good period.

I'm not impressed with your friends 13.0; the only reason he ran a 13.0 is because the car is AWD. They can run as low as 13.2 bone stock, because the AWD allows you to come off the line ridiculously fast. However, they only trap at about 100MPH, since they don't have enough power to back up that 13.0 ET. Even though your friend may have ran a 13.0, his trap speed was probaly only slightly over 100MPH, which is not anything special at all.

To each his own i guess... I do agree that the g35 is an extremly classy import.

Although i have no idea how u dont think STI's sound good... Besides STI's and g35/350s i think every other import sounds like garbage

BirdmanLS1, your a cool guy ! You give respect where it is deserved and your opinion without calling names and acting like a dick. Some people can say whatever the hell they want behind a computer screen cause they don't know what the other person is like in person.

DSS, stay up ! Not everyone feels the same way as we do about our car.

Japanese(and I use this word to not sound racist) vehicles are not crap ! IMO they seem to be doing good in this country for the most part(Mitsu not so great!) especially in the "reliability" department. Don't get me wrong I love some American cars(Camaro's, Trans Am, Corvettes, etc).

Man, its a car ! Japanese or American, you buy it for whatever purpose, no need to get all riled up cause you think you got the best car in the whole world in a straight line and nothing with 4 cyl. can beat it because v8 are so much better in all ways possible in a straight line. So... Freakin... What !!!

Can you say rally/ auto-x?
I know EXACTLY what they were built for (and RESPECT it)! I probably know more about rallying than all of the "importees" on here (or other forums) who DO buy them (AWD turbo cars) for the sole purpose of wasting/embarrassing domestic V-8s on the street & strip, and will NEVER even go to a rally, let alone work one (or MANY, as I have), or prep and enter their wonder in one "as it was meant to be"!!!!
It just pisses me off that EVERYONE (f body owners included) thinks that our cars CANNOT EVER be made to handle extremely well, regardless of mods/tires. Yes, stock for stock the "rally twins" will butcher us in their "twisties", not so with handling mods and equal tires.

What was the point of that vid?? It sucked, and it wasn't even in English.

Totally pointless...
