What da hell are hondas thinking...? So i had just pick up my girlfriend from work and was taking her home, we were taking it easy, i had my car on cruise going the speed limit 60mph. All of a sudden i see a pair of headlights about 1 1/2 mile away on my rearview mirrior i dont pay much attention to them just that they seem to be getting closer rather quickly...when suddenly i hear a little honda civic sounding his big *** muffler...that boy really got on my nerves because here i was trying to have a nice quite ride with my girlfriend no fighting for the first time and he is making all this noise next to me...so i give him the sign to show me what his got i let him take off and give him like a 4 car lead...small *** car i dont know what he was thinking a blew past him in 3secs...im telling you i dont know what they are thinking, maybe they think they can fly with that big *** spolier...lol

not only is it definately worth the 1hp, but the agony you put people around you in is what really makes it worth it.

it's funny... most people just slap on those fart cans with their stock cams and such. little do they know, they're burning their vavles out because of the lack of backpressure for the stock cam. they run rich as hell too because of the unnecessary exhaust flow, which also drains their low-mid range torque, which is exactly what they need, rather then top-end HP. i've ran too many of them and they all did the same thing. i launch hard and i can't even tell if they've left the light of not. "Do they even know it turned green?" haha...

Trust me, I don't like saying that but,...it is what it is. One guy has an all motor older civic hatch,...12.2 on motor. He sprays as well.
Other dude, I dunno what he runs at the track but, when I raced him and a porsche GT2(a 198 mph car)....the porsche was no contest, yet, the friggin civic TURBO, was right on my bumper, with me on motor. He was making "420whp". That was before my car was tuned on the dyno but....regardless, the cars weigh nothing,...and it isn't that hard to strap a different motor in one,...and beat, ALOT of cars.
I';m sure the dude that the original poster wrote about was/is a poser but....I just want you all to know whats out there. In south florida,...honestly, light turbo cars are everywhere. It's like a friggin invasion.
Food for thought. Oh, and if one of them have NEON lights,...watch out, it's not really neon, it's most likely the NUCLEAR BASED fuel it's running, causing a weird, somewhat translucent glow.

The whole burnt out exsaust valve thing does happen, but its pretty rare.
A simple fart can wont cause that. A full header setup might, but even then its a bit doubtful. Its not that much more flow.
What kills those cars is bad maitenance and too much reving. That and the fact that most of them are second hand and beat to crap to begin with.
