Not trying to flame here, but are you sure you friend was going all out? If he was launching from a lower gear it wouldn't have even been close.

160 on the street.. real smart too

I didn't watch it. I'm saying from my experience with a couple friends who drive 600s -- if they launch from an appropriate gear from a roll -- you're toast. ~300 hp isn't going to cut it to even keep you near the bike.

Yea, a R6 is pretty quick, a couple of my friends have them. That and it's a Bike. I have beaten a few bikes, but no way in hell one of them. All the stuff in your sig is suspension also, nothing too much on the Engine. You can get the LS1's, I eat them all the time, but not a bike.

I beat an LS1 in my 91 TPI. He turned off after the race, he clearly wasn't happy. Especially since my friend was with for extra weight mwahahahaha

Grat's on the kill.

I'll possibly believe that, if and only if he stayed in 6th gear the whole run. Otherwise it wouldn't have even been close.

I doubt you actually were going 160 -- factory speedos can be extremely off at higher speeds (120+). BMWs are known to be off by as much as 15 mph, so when its reading 150, it was actually only doing 135.

Either way, not trying to play daddy here, but your friend on the bike has a lot of ***** riding between two cars racing. And still.. 150 on the freeway.. real smart.

Well as stated, unless it's a cop cars certified speedo, you can think you were doing 160 all day long. Doesn't mean you were. Theres a calculator on the net that you input your gears, RPM, tires etc and it'll tell you more accurately how fast you were going.

It's still booking and jail time.. I am guilty of it, most of us are. I got some guy in a Turbo 350Z the other night. He passed me on the highway, I was already doing 75, he about 90 area and was on it. I passed him a bit back and he caught up and flew by. I hit it, caught up, and passed him at 135mph. The look on his face was priceless, got his *** handed to him.

I have been clocked in those areas of my speedo and I have it dailed pretty accurate

I also have been known to take a bike or two on the street...and on the track Ever seen the face of a hybusa owner after he was schooled by a slow LT1 car

All this added what, like 8rwhp and better handling/traction?? I don't wanna call bs b/c I haven't watched the video, but maybe your friend with the ls1 should get his **** checked out, or press the peddle down all the way...

I disagree. Your LS1 big headed. Suspension mods do help and with his mods being a 6-speed, he could achieve mid 13's. His trap speed is probably around 105ish. That is on the low end. A buddy of mine had a 97 M6 LT1 with a catback, cai, and ported his TB, which was stupid, but seemed to help. He trapped 107. An A4 LS1 pretty much stock (like the one in the video) will most likely trap 103ish.

I honestly don't see how you think this race isn't logical.

Good run to the poster!

I'm not ls1 big headed. I give lt1's all the respect they deserve. I'm not going to argue about this, all I'm goin to say is that ls1 should be checked out to make sure everything is running ok...

edit: just watched the vid and that suspension didn't help him at all, did you watch the vid? The ls1 took off first, then let off so the lt1 could catch up, then he went again....so this was more like a slow roll but the lt1 had a little momentum...
