Good kill. Only questioun I have is the injectors mod? That one doesn't make sense unless he's got major work done and running lots of boost. Anyone else think that's wierd?

LOL - I was just about to say that.........larger injectors as a mod.....that's funny. Stock injectors are good for alot more than CAI and exhaust mods.
Nice Kill OP...you have a strong Fbod....390RWHP is nice.

From a 40 roll it should have been pretty even if he was a good drive. The cobra's are heavy and need about 40-60 more hp to out run an ls1 car. No flames please as I have owned both.
i think your confusing the CObra vs Vette thing with the "you need 60 extra HP". not to diss but, its a really big misconception on the fbodys vs cobra. the weight diffrence between a cobra and fbod is maybe 150-200 pounds

it just so happens that i ran into him again tonight and a good meet up spot and we bull shitted a little. We got to be pretty cool and he showed me what he really had...he had a bit more than what he said, he had some pullies, some other bolt on's and a bottle(wasn't spraying on our race). he said he dyno'd around 440ish with what he had the night we raced(keep in mind i have about 150-200 pounds in weight reduction). Tonight he was running 16 pounds of boost and was running 109 octane (said he dyno'd 484). He let me drive it and it pulled like a mother F***er. Traction was a bitch too. He definatly would have pulled me tonight if we had raced.
I have a couple other street racing stories if you would wish to read i'll post them up in a new thread...05 viper vs the same cobra...05 viper vs. me (m6 camaro) and me vs a Supra. All happened tonight

I understand what you're saying though and I agree.

Well we come up at a light where we have to make a left hand turn and i see a stang sitting at the light in the direction we were turning. I noticed it had a different front end to it and suspected it was a cobra. Anyways, my buddy was in front of me and gave the cobra a rev as he made his turn and i kinda just hung back.
Cobra flipped a bitch to chase my buddy. Well they lined up going about 40 and they raced. My buddy got pulled on pretty hard and it was a murder (SRT-4 has just a few bolt-ons). So we came up to a light and my friend gets behinde the stang to let me line up with him. I gave him a little rev so he knew what was up. He rolled down his window and said at the light i said alright. So the light turns green and i punch it, got side ways a little, straightened her out and jumped about 2 cars on the cobra. We took it to about 100 and i had probably 5 cars on him. So we came up on another light and he asked to go again, so we went and the same thing happened, had him by 2 cars at the start and about 5 lengths by 100. We pull over and chat a little and he tells me he has exhaust, a chip, and injectors, and something else (forgot). He asked to go from a 35 roll and I agreed becauce he obviously couldn't launch his car. So we go from a 35 and i jump 1/2 a car in front, 2nd gear he fell bacl to my bumper, 3rd he stayed at my bumper, 4th he dropped another 1/2. VERY fun race. So we race again from a 35 and it was the same for the 1st 3 gears but then i missed 4th and he passed me quickly, I put her back in 4th and tried to catch up but I couldn't. I lost that race, over all the guy was really cool and we chatted for a while.
sorry for the life long story...

Good Job!
I have been trying to get over my first SVT for a while now. Have not had much time to tinker with my car because I am leaving to go to Iraq. Maybe when I return in seven months, can instal a cam and some goodies to keep up with you guys. Another one to watch out for is the old ZR1 Covettes. They deserve respect. My 2000 LS1 had an SLP Loudmouth, long tube headers, SLP Cold Air, and he jumped up and ran away from me on I-10 in Florida like I was sitting still. His son though was driving a LT4 Vette, and I managed to handle him. But we pulled off the freeway and chatted. Anyways, nice kill! Just beware fo the ZR1's as well!
