last night raced a civic with a sohc t3-4 turbo 25 psi went from a 30 roll to 130 had 1 car on him till about 125 then it was dead even neck to neck then the honda thew a rod right out of that bitch in to the road **** was crazy pulled over started to bullshit foud out he ran a 13.2 at 120 somthing **** was so fast did not expect that at all

I've seen some fast Tuna Cans....but that fu*ker seems to have some muscle.....or HAD some muscle.

I'd liked to have gotten to see what was under the hood of that thing.

I got my *** toasted once by a Mitsubishi 300 VR4 that was one modded motherfu*ker! Since then...I always respect the Tuna Cans....take em' seriously.

If he was running that kind of boost on a stock motor I'm kinda surprised it lasted that long. I bet it was a stock motor since it was SOHC. If they were going to do a built motor at that level it would have been DOHC AFAIK.

Always nice to knock-out half-assed setup turbo cars. They were probably shocked that you were ahead of them like that. Nice kill.

Ive noticed that about some of those turbo civics and whatnot at the dragstrip. Some will trap 120+ but sometimes won't even break 13's due to traction. Fastest one i saw went like 12.8@129. I talked to one of those kids and he said pretty much once his turbo hits, there's nothing he can do...wheelspin city.

i'm kinda confused... Why can a lil import run 25+ psi and a something like a trans am can only do under 10 psi?

A stock LS1 has too high compression ratio to run that much boost. You can build an LS1 with a lower CR to run more boost.

 

Any non-factory turbo/supercharged car cant run that much boost. (Usually 5-10 max). Its mostly due to the fact that like the guy above said, compression ratio.
