I do.
With ESP off, the car will cook the tires if he leans into it too much out of the hole. In fact, I can smoke the tires basically through first and second gear before it'll hook. If he's got ESP on, he's probably got a better shot, and his best bet will be to just squeeze the throttle when the hands drop. ESP will keep the car moving, but if it engages, he's going to lose a bit.
If you ran these cars through the 1320', you'd be at ~120mph. I just don't think the E55 has any dramatic advantage between 120-140mph.
I think if you're on your crappy tires, it'll still be a close race and I certainly wouldn't give the E55 a GW.

No it isn't. The CL55 weighs more than a damn S500. Curb weight on those is almost 4300lbs. E55's weigh in at just under 4100lbs.

I said the opposite...the E55 isn't getting a GW.

I haven't, but I still think it will be a good run.

Damn. I stand corrected. The E55 actually weighs less than 4000 lb.

The CL and SL55 cars are north of 42xx lb.

I never realized the E55 was so light, comparative to the other 55 cars. It didn't feel very nimble . . . then again I'm used to my car

The AMG cars are heeeeeeaaaaaaavy

I think it's deceptive. You would definitely think the CL was a lighter car, maybe because it's a 2-door.
lol...I don't think any of them are "light". Even the E55 is over 4000 (listed at 4087).
Imagine that motor in a 3200lb. platform.

What mph do you trap in the 1/4? I'd spray him just to be safe, or maybe do a run with nawz and one n/a.

Back when I was h/c, stall, longtubes, etc, I only dyno'd 366rwhp. I raced one on the street and on the highway and he absolutely destroyed me both times. Even going from a 60mph roll, when we both hit it, his car immediately took off like a 6sp. By the time my car downshifted and started moving, he already had 1 car on me and pulling well past 130mph. There was no way I could catch him. From a stop, with my soft hitting vertor, I got about 3/4 jump, and then when I floored it, he came flying by me again.

Either way, good luck !!

The AMG'S system "anticipates" the driver's inputs.

When the driver comes off the throttle after aggressive driving, the transmission will remain in that lower gear(s) for a few seconds "anticipating" the drivers next hard-throttle move in order to have instantaneous high-rpm/torque/power response.

It's designed to be able to fly through slower traffic on the Autobahn.

Nope...he beat the E55 from a dig on motor.
He lost from a roll on motor.
And won from a roll on spray.

MT street drag radials and you'll get a good lead quick with that level of stall. Your 3.42's will carry you well up past 100 mph. You'll see him no longer falling back at 115 and he'll start gaining ground slightly at 120. Up to 140 and he'll never catch you, though, he'll be close. Go to 160 with him and he'll catch you and pass and win by 1. But, then, the MT's will prob blow out over 155 and kill you. Go 1/4 mile ... the true standard of straght-line racing. You'll take him on Nitto's. With street tires down the 1/4 mile, you'll have a hard time launching aginst him and you'll lose every time IF he's a good driver.

But, ah-ha! You said he's only driven an SUV and his driving skills suck, so, you prob can hand him his *** on street tires everytime ... at least in the 1/4..

Did he slap on the drag-radials like everyone suggested?

Dang . . . I'll never tell you what speeds I've been up to over 100 times on my Nitto 315 drags
