YES......New edge (that's why I asked which one, so I didn't talk incorrectly), (99-04) S281SCs are marginally rated at 360 (370 in 04). They dyno ~315-320 at the rear wheels......They have the 3.27 rear gears...stock GT tranny, and weigh more than a GT because fo the suspension and S/C supporting material.........so, they are a low 13 second car stock.......factory stock that is. A close driver's race with a Mach 1.....pretty sad really. The car's look nice, but for what you pay.....HMM.....

Yeah, my friend has an '02 S28I S/C, and he's said that especially all the problems he's had with the blower (sent the blower back to Saleen twice), he should have gotten an '03 Cobra. But it does look/sound SICK.

Saleens are very nice cars. I can remember being so close to buying a new one back in 2000, The warranty (1year at the time) and the fact that insurance companys would only pay out blue book on a Mustang GT if the car was totaled which in turn required a hefty down payment just to drive the car off the lot.
1999-2001 S281 = 285bhp (14 flat on average)

They are badass cars.....alot like the terminators...forged internals....and nice F'ing power. But they are rare, and were ~$70k initially.
The hood is the obvious difference.

They don't take much to get them in the low 12s high 11's gears pully and tune.I guess these cars are tuned down for factory warranty.I'll stick to my pushrod 5.0.To many issue's with those cars.
