get a nitrous kit and spray him! if he starts the usual "you had to use nitrous" you counter with "well you had to you use a bigger turbo"

Yea i really cant stand when they say that, or you have a bigger engine so i need something, well dont buy it to start with, well anyway i would like to stay away from spraying. i was wondering if just a cam, full exhaust, lid under drive pully, free mods, and a tune would com close.

He has 480 rwhp or is this a guess? I'd say a big cam/heads/full intake/ehaust/tune, should net you in the upper 400 rwhp range, but his car is lighter too. So getting rid of some excess baggage would help a little (spare tire/jack, rear seat). W/ all that power your gonna need traction too, so susp. upgrades will help you out alot. Have fun spending money just to compete w/ your buddy!

Well you didn't tell us what sort of transmission you have, so here are some options for you:

A4: Get a 7.0L/427ci motor with a very aggressive heads/cam setup. Go higher compression since you don't plan on forced induction. Get some big 1 7/8" LT headers with a true dual system. Get a 4000 stall TC and a built 4L60E from FLT (Level V should do it).

M6: Get a 7.0L/427ci motor with a very aggressive heads/cam setup. Go higher compression since you don't plan on forced induction. Get some big 1 7/8" LT headers with a true dual system. Get a STRONG clutch and a 12 bolt/9 inch rear with 3.90 or bigger gears.

Yeah I know this will all cost a fortune. But you never said what your price limit was, so assuming you don't mind dumping $15-20K either of these setups should kill your competition from a roll, stop, or anything else. But you'll need suspension and tires as well. Very big, very sticky tires.

Or if you're willing to go with spray, just get a basic heads/cam package with a full exhaust and hit it with a 150 shot.

what about the STS turbo setup? run a turbo against a turbo, and the v8 will win.

well i have the six speed, but i was just wondering. im not going to dump all that money into the car just to win. this is my project car if it wins it wins if it doesnt then it just wont. but i will tell you he has about 13 grand in just the engine, to me just to be getting around 480 to the wheels is just sad. i guess if its built right i wouldnt mide spraying a 150 shot. my friends ws6 with headers, true duals, and a lid spraying a 150 shot rans a pretty steady 11.2. there is always goona be someone faster. just wondering what i would need to get about 400 to the wheels

If 400rwhp is all you want, that's a pretty easy goal really. Just pick a nice heads/cam package (you already have the LS6 intake), get some LT headers with an ORY, and get a dyno tune. That'll get you to 400 or more right there.

bolt ons and a decent cam will get you close to 400. Throw in some posted ls6 heads or something to seal the deal. And spray it just in case.

But I agree, a 480 to the wheels is one nasty skittle.

What all has this guy done to his car with this 13 grand he has dumped into it? And have you heard that he has 480hp or seen it? I saw a SRT-4 dyno yesterday as a matter of fact, and it had slightly upgraded turbo, intake, boost controller, open downpipe, and was on 20lbs. It made 273rwhp on a DynoJet!! I would love to know how this guy is making 480 on his skittle.

I have two friends w/ skittles (black and red).

One (red) is (was) the FASTEST street drivin (full weight, etc.) skittle in the US, or it was till he blew the motor. Full custom handmade pieces, big turbo on n2o.

The other (Black) has stock block, 60 trim turbo, methenol inj, open down tube, on n2o he just put down 400 @22psi off the n2o. He has gone up to 30psi on the juice. Don't know what it'll make but that little ****** is fast as all hell, once he catches traction at the top of THIRD! That damned thing runs 12.0-11.5 @ 130's on 26" slicks.

If you ask me a waste of power. But the fact remains they do make it. Oh and NOW WHERE Near 13K in either. Actually less than 3K in the black one.
We race these lil cars all the time, in all seriousness, race him from a dig, there is no way in hell he is going to hook with that much power, even with a full slick.

Dude, what happened to just racing the mf? Come on, line 'em up, run 'em, and then see how it goes. Then come back here and write up a story about it.

Yes..just race him. And race him from a dig with no spray. You will be pleasantly surprised. He will wheelhop while you gain a few cars if you hook. Personally, I have destroyed a stage 3 skittle 3 outta 3 races because of that.

do what i did wait to race him cause unless he strenghtens the internals he is going to blow it. thats what the guy around here did he bought the biggest turbo he could i think its the stg4 kit and it only took him about 4 months to blow it up.
