From what the owner said, they raced before the Z had his mods and he would put about 2-3 cars on him. From what others have said about there Z's with bolt on's, they typically run low 13's with intake, testpipes, spacer and exhaust at 106-107mph. I'm pretty sure if he would strap on some headers, it would really wake the car up.
BTW, the guy in the WS6 can drive, listen to where and how he shifts.

I couldn't hear where he was shifting but the fact that the Z got a car jump on him from a dig means he can't launch his car. 275's with 320tq and a good driver would give a big advantage to the WS6 and it wasn't the case.
Also I averaged BEST times for bolt on 350Z's from this thread: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233840
And it turns out to be 104mph. WS6 with lid and exhaust has to trap at least 108mph with 110mph not being excluded (my Z28 trapped a bit over 110mph with the same mods).
Add all these facts together, WS6 should've walked the Z a bit harder especially from a dig. So like I said earlier, Z did a great job keeping up with WS6 from a roll and definitely a GREAT job being a better driver from a dig, but don't expect this to happen every time bolt on Z will be racing lid/exhaust f-body.
I would love to have a friendly race with a bolt on Z and catch it on video Maybe I will post on Z forums once it warms up a bit.

Alot of Z owners dont post there times and most of there mods are not as extensive as the one in this video. He's still running on stock headers. But as the owner stated, the ls1 would start to pull in 5th gear and he would be at his bumper throughout the race.

It should pull way before 5th gear, but w/e.
Race is a race and I still feel that WS6's driver could've gotten more out of his car. I'm not bashing on any car and gave respect where it was due, but this will not happen every time bolt on Z races lightly modded LS1 f-body.
I will try to get a race in the spring time with a bolt on Z.

Whats goin on guys? Im the Z owner and thought that I would come and see what the LS1 crowd was sayin about the race. My mods are: 5/16 spacer, intake, exhaust, hfc, and a tune. I put down 243rwhp and 228rwtq...I have posted the dyno graphs in the tuning section of my350z.com if anyone is a member. His mods are a lid and magnaflow exhaust. It was a great race, as you can see, and from a 40 roll he usually puts me at his rear bumper. From a dig, he has a hard time catchin up.
We both started in second gear and both can drive, imho...listen to vids closely. Stock for stock...ws6>Z, everytime! Damn the LS1 topend

Nice run. Do you think your numbers are kinda low, in regards to your mods? I thought it was a little higher than that. Also, what kind of dyno did you use.

good to finaly see a good race. normaly you see one car stomping the other, then a bunch of bullshit excuses why "X" car lost. wait... we still have that. who ******* cares about the mods. a fast car is a fast car. i never hear anyone say" thats not fair, he has an ls1". grow up people. good race.

Thanks guys...I just wanted to post a good race with good footage between the two cars. For a year he had always put me in my place but since my tune and hfc, its much more fun/close. I have raced a WS6 here in Waco with everybolt on who runs 12s and that wasnt even close...I def. respect the ls1's...always have always will and they are not to be taken lightly since most are not stock.

around 3200lbs I believe. And about other mods, the ones listed are all I have...take it or leave it. And about the ws6 driver not being able to drive, somewhat valid comment bc he bounced off the redline in 1st and 2nd on the 40roll... However, if you look at the night vids, we are dead even till we shut down and they are all clean runs. The day vids, I win the dig, he wins the 40roll.
