If your OD are 5th and 6th, then the Z would most likely pull alot harder than the LT1. This is why you see Supras and Viper pull alot harder on the top end, becuase of there gearing and 3.18 final gear.

I have done 2 runs with a stock 350Z and a bolt on one.....the bolt on one was from a 70 roll on the highway....it had intake,headers and exhaust and i pulled a car and a half on him to 110 where I shut down. The other one was completly stock and i ran from a roll (had 3 cars on him by 90 from a 40 roll) and once from a dead stop. I had him off the launch untill i hit full boost in the top of first gear, car broke sideways so i had to let off to get traction again....once i got back on the gas i caught back up to him and pulled half a car by 100 where i shut down....my tranny is shot between the 2nd and 3rd shift...Overall i thought they were pretty good races...but then again i have a 3.8 not a LS1

I can see the Z pulling after an LT1 shifts to 5th, but that is at a pretty high speed.

All rational car guys know that a strong LT1 (not the crappy 2.89 geared A4's) and stock 350Z is a drivers race. I beaten/been beaten by stock 350's depending on roll or dig and what speed for the roll race. To the OP, nice race. That's a nice Z. Outcome seems right to me with the weight difference and driver error.

i know we don't race on dynos but **** there's somethign wrong with that ls1 or the driver. probly a mix of both.

Now where are all the people talking about area under the curve now. All of a sudden hp wins wars.
There was nothing WRONG with the driver. He already stated he doesnt pull anymore after the 350z's mods. Before he would pull by 2 cars, now with the modifications the Z has made, it is a totally different story. Sorry to bust everyones bubble here, but those few mods to the Z, really woke the car up.

I've posted atleast 10 vids over the last 2 years on here, where stock 350z's constantly walk LT1's as speeds increase. What else do you need to see. Dynoes dont mean ****! There about numbers and thats it.

LT1 and LS1s have the same trans. both show 1:1 in 4th gear.
