I'll bet the MAF is contributing to some of the shitty performance on your part. The MAF has been shown time and time again to cause people to LOSE power unless its tuned for. Put ur stock MAF back on and I'll bet it helps.

I said earlier my car is def. faster with the other mods, even if the MAF is making me lose a little power, I have still increased my trap speeds around 8-10 mph. Plus I raced another buddy of mine who has a 99 z that runs 12.4 and I'm about 1 1/2 cars behind him after mods, and before mods it wasn't even close.

anyway, for your friend, 3 words: rear mounted turbo. he definitely has a kind of FI, either that or a big H/C package. take your pick: FI or internals. he's lying.

There really isn't much you can hide... if you know what you're looking at under the hood, pretty much anything would be immediately apparent. And any heads/cams combo would be noticeable. It is possible to put the nitrous line on the bottom of the air intake tube and carefully hide the solenoids/wiring, so check that next time you get the chance.

Damn, he must have the driver mod for sure. I have told people on this board that a bolt on+ geard GT is a capable car on the street, and can beat LS1's, especially if they have gears. It doesn't take N20, or FI, cuz there are tons of 2 valves where I live that can take Fbods, but your car SHOULD beat him. My guess is he has 4.10's or 4.30's. It sounds like your car may not be running 100% tho, I would get it checked out, like I said you SHOULD be beating him.
