Meh, Meltdown, my WS6 is just a fun daily that has a bit of go to it. It took you all those mods to = what my WS6 will do on a tire with someone with a bit of talent driving.

Yes, 5.0s can run 12's with low hp. I saw a cam-only + electric fan 5.0 runnin 12.7@103. Trick was it was GUTTED and weighed 2400#, had a 4400stall with a tranny brake and a C4. Thing was a 60' machine!

Either way, if i went with a cam/LT's/tune, it would take FI or a stroker in a 5.0 to catch me. However I remain stock until I am out of college

Those "if" mods don't get you very far buddy.

And I bet you could do those mods and I could still make a stock bore/stroke nitrous 5.0 walk the dog on you.

I agree very much with your statement, As I have a friend who owns a 93 mustang he had full-boltons cam 373 gears his car felt very torquey. So one day he says lets race and I said yeah why not so he goes on to say im gonna have you be ten or so car lenghts blah blah blah; Lets just say he had the jump on me and then my car kicked down and i was gone and i freakin mean gone.

Never said it takes 300hp to run 12's. I said it takes an all motor stock weight 5.0 300hp to hit 12's. Never seen one hit lower than high 13's on DR's and thats with exhaust and a good driver. Sorry man, your trying to sell me that the 5.0 motor is so responsive to mods that it jumps from a 15-high 14sec car to a low 13sec high 12sec car with tires and one or two bolt ons, no way. Also, until someone can refute my current thinking with #'s i find it hard to believe that a 5.0 weighs comparibly to a vette so how can you try and compare how much relative HP itll take for the two to reach 12's?

"Finding it hard to believe" is easily cured by a search on this mystical thing called the internet. Notchback 5.0s ran LOW fourteens stock (good driver), and weighed right around 3,000-3,100lbs, depending on year.

Dude...Get a clue...I'm not here to try to back up Mustangs or make you believe anything. You obviously are very ignorant and don't know as much as you think you know about performance and the track in general. Believe what you will buddy, one day someone will make a believer out of you.
