I think with those cars there is an 'awe' or 'wow' factor to them since little is really known about them here in the U.S. and it's not a car you see everyday. They are impressive when built right but I don't know anyone that would have the money to mod it after paying to import it and license it. Plus modding those things are super super expensive.

You would not lose, unless it was modded. Stock for stock an LS1 is faster and you are kind of modded so you would win.

To a point that's correct. Every car has a point of diminishing returns though. Ya reach a point where more money just doesn't return a worthwhile increase in performance. For instance, a 700 WHP Civic Hatch is possible but utterly useless. No way in hell to hook that power at any speed so what good is it. The lighter the car, the quicker that point is reached, especially from a dig.

Ive never seen an R34 but there are a LOTof R32s running around up here.

Not sure how your import laws work, but once overseas cars are 15 years old you can bring them across to canada with no taxes or any of that other ****, so theres a ton of the early 90s fairlady Z's (300ZXs) up here too. Its getting pretty disgusting at the track, 16 or 17sec R32 GTS Skylines (havent seen a GTR there yet), high 15 second Zs, and too many sweet *** RHD civics to count.

On the street. When I was cam only I could launch my car and stay door and door with many EVO's I raced up until it was time for me to start pulling Most people dont know how to launch their cars(RWD) You gotta slip the clutch a little (just like you do with AWD cars) as well as progressively lay into the throttle(quickly LOL)

I can show you a WRX that did a 1.3 60'

Again thats not a driver who knows how to launch a car. I ran a 79 Mustang with a 351w, auto with 4:10 and DR's on the street and managed 1 1/2 cars on the launch. Clearly at the track that Mustang would have had a better chance, in fact he might even have out launched me. I believe he said he was cutting 1.7 at the track.

I've done a 1.6 60' in my WRX on the same tires that I run everyday, granted I never want to launch my car that hard again. I just wanted to see what it could do. Street or strip, most of the time I'll get the same launch (depending if I have to run through the water box or not).

Video of a R32 GTR. NOT STOCK.

If he had taken your bait you would have had the pleasure of racing a NA V6.
The new Skylines are out, I saw 1 about a month ago. I was right behind it at a stop light. I was trying to race him in my trailblazer, but he wouldn't go for it.

My other friend has seen it up close, and it's kind of shitty. A buddy of mine has a headers/catback/cutout A4 WS6, and the R34 wouldn't race him. Not even from a roll. He claims that "his car is setup for highway racing" but still won't go from a roll. My friend wanted to go from a dig, but R34 kid DEFINATELY didn't want any of that. So, he can talk the ****, but can't handle a call-out. He is a true "Fast and the Furious" level ricer...
Yeah, I know who you are talking about. That guy is a douche bag, and apparently he cant drive it for ****.

I seen a guy at the US StreetNationals @Bradenton Motorsports Park, w/ a skyline that looked like a g35 Im guessing that was a new skyline. The guy was a moron thinking he could run with the heavy street class. The slowest of the heavystreet class ran like a 9.- . This guy ran a 12.8 with nitrous on a turbo v-6. It was a joke people were laughing at him.

The current Skyline IS a G35. The new G35 is out. Therefore, all you would need are "Skyline 350GT" badges, and you have a JDM-looking Skyline. But no, the new GT-R is not out yet.
