wow this took a turn for the ugly in 15 minutes....
i have seen nearly 500awhp out of a stock turbo, but i definatly would not want to drive the car as it was highly tempermental.... and i have done quite a few turbo swaps on STIs and none of them went problem free after the owner decided to romp the car....
