So first off this is pry my fault for a race, i dont start many street races, i think most of the time they are stupid and pointless, but alot of that is cuz most of the cars in my area are "400 whp civics, that only have a catback and an intake"

btu im late to meet my gf for our date, which she specifically told me not to be late for lol. so im going down the road, speed limit is 55 im going 60ish so not too bad, but im passing everything on the road. I see this bright blue subaru, no wing and the only badge say RX, so i pass him and i notice he gets behind me... and im thinking o god just go home ricer, but i guess he wasnt thinking the same thing i was cuz he was riding my *** BOVing me, really pissing me off.

light turns red and he gets over next to me, we are both in front and he rolls his window down and starts asking what ive done, i tell him its stock and he says he has intake exhaust and a BOV and says "the SS nice, ive beat a few of those, but its ok cause this thing is un touchable from a stop".... im thinking ok dude stop talkin **** im late and your worthless to my life... but he wont shut up. So finally it gets to the akward point where you are waiting for the light to change so you can run, and i look over last second and his friend in the passanger seat waves at me like a goodbye wave im thinking to myself thank god i learned to finally launch with my stickies

He is pry tached up halfway and creeping forward getting ready to launch, i just stick the need at 3100 and wait for the murder.. light turns greep i just dump the clutch and mash it, and instant hook start pulling on him... very very hard.
I look over about halfway through 1st, right where it stops the little bog that it does and starts to pull and they both were wide mouthed like WTF IS GOING ON!!!! so i took the time to wave at him right before i hit 2nd and then the massacre begins.

we went from 0-110 (just to add insult to injury). by the time i let off i had at least 7, it gets hard to tell when they are that far back

he pulls up next to me at the light and starts to say how his turbo was lagging and his clutch is slipping... i jsut looked at him and said sure, go tuck your tail between your legs and run off like a little ***** who wont admit his car aint ****. his friend just started laughing and i jsut drove away

But damn @ all that smack talk... there's some fast STI's out there.. that guy just underestimated your car, like most people who hate domestics.

 

my best friends family owns a subaru dealership and we just got done building a 550awhp STI so i definatly know they are fast, but they become very un reliable once turbo swapped, and require a turbo swap to be fast

i respect those cars very much, i cant stand that they think cuz they are AWD that they cant be touched off the line, any V8 with a descent, let alone sticky, set of tires will have the lead by the end of first no matter how hard the launch

Great kill. Was the car a STi or just a regular WRX? I've been hearing and seeing more and more guys making their WRX's into STi's with just the foglight covers, wing, wheels,and some other appearence stuff. Being an import guy myself it's really hard for me to tell.

 

Nice story, can you tell us more about your tires? What size, type, etc. I'm guessing you didn't heat them up at the light, what psi were they at that you dead hooked a 3100 launch with no burnout?

HAHA!!! you dont really think that do you? the stock one can handle around 450 to 500 whp with proper tuning.
