How much do you think I would gain by going with afrs over the Ps?

Well, GT40P's are normally good for 25whp or so as a direct swap. AFR's are good for around 50ish whp from what I hear. So maybe 15-30whp, just depending.

I called earlier this week contemplating a short-block 331. I have since looked at a few dyno charts with a 331 and the heads I wanted to run (Edelbrock Performers) and it barely broke 300whp on a mustang dyno (I know, conservative compared to dynojet). (It wasnt YOUR shortblock, but it was setup similar).

Since then I have been contemplating just going with your 375/375 306ci long-block motor. I have a 3500# car (race weight with me and gas in it) and want to run a 12.5@108 or better on MT ET Streets or a similar tire. My car is a 5-speed with mild suspension mods and 4.10 gears. Will this 306 get me there (I am racing at Gilliam speedway, 197' above SL) with a good driver in decent conditions?

Through shorty headers, do you have any rwhp dyno figures supplied by your shop or by your customers on your 306 with Brodix 5.0 heads?

Does your crate motor come with any kind of warrenty?

I would have to do some number crunching on this but I know that I have had some customers run pretty good with these engines. We have a customer with one of these engines on our Dyno jet chassi dyno and it made about 320 to the rear tires which was pretty good. I feel that a 20 to 25 percent loss is not un-common. Some of these 302 engines we do will make about 390 and a 331 one we did the other day with the same parts as the 306 made 431HP. If we use the same parts that we use on the 306 we can do one of those for about 400.00 more. The 331 also makes more torque for sure. Just let us know how we can help when you are ready. Thanks,

Keith

Here is an e-mail I got from Keith about a full-bolt-on 306 with Brodix heads.

Here snoozer, just for you.
