Pulled a Vette!
Pulled a Vette! I just happened to stop at a light and a '05 or newer vette with a old dude driving. I thought for sure he wasn't going to do anything, but when the light went green we both just rolled out then he nailed it and pulled a car on me. I spun all the way through first but when i hit second ,started pulling on him. Hit third and his lights were at my door. I stayed on it through 3rd and when in to 4th and let off. I saw a cop coming the opposite way and saw the vette pull back I said F""k 
and rolled on to my exit. The vette followed and when we got on the highway he just blew by me.
I am suprised he even ran me. It felt good seeing what my car could do, I don't get many runs around here except for Trucks. They always want to run.
What do you guys think, was he running me or just toying.

Probably really running you. I have ran into a few newer Vettes. I don't think they were modded much because I had no problem walking them from a roll. I agree with your comment about seeing what your car can do. You can't help but smile when you pull a new Vette, it feels awesome.

With your mods I highly doubt that would be the outcome. Edge to the C6 Vette.

I had almost identical mods to my '01 formy except only diff was my car was an auto(is totaled as of a week ago b/c some ******* not paying attention rearended me) and my friend has an '05 A4 LS2 vette and I would destroy him at the 1/8 mile track,never got a chance to run him in the 1/4 due to my car being totaled....his best time ever was a 8.62 and my best time ever was an 8.19, and both cars were on street tires....the torque management in the vettes,especially the autos, really kills their performance from the factory, just my .02 oh and uh nice kill

i don't doubt you, but i am very surprised with that outcome. he should be putting down at least as much power as you and he definitely weighs a lot less. he could be a crappy driver though. anyways, good kill. i've been itchin to meet up with one of the new vettes but the only one i found had some big haired lady behind the wheel that probably would have crashed into me if she tried to race because her hair would have gotten in the way...
Unfortunately newer corvettes are one of those types of cars that pick up a bad reputation pretty quickly. The reason is because its very common to find an old man driving it. No doubt these stories are true, but don't let it fool you into thinking the vettes aren't that fast. I used to race modded bolton f-bodies all the time when my C5 was stock. I never had any issue walking away pretty easily. I don't know if it was because I can drive a little better than these old guys, or if it was because I had a hardtop, or maybe both. The vettes have more power and less weight.

Why does an older guy driving a Corvette cause a bad reputation?? I am sure they think the same thing about us younger punks or even worse young teens driving F-Body's in an agressive manner.
