Sorry
I´ve been kinda afraid to run SRT-8´s... maybe such a large HP number has me a little wigged out. I´ll hafta find one soon.
Sorry

Dont be afraid of the charger. You should definately give one a run!

Hmm, most C5 vette's I've ran on the interstate pull about the same as my
Z-28 did with bolt ons. You must have ran stock A4 SS camaro's then, find a bolt on 6-speed car and see what happens. I guarantee you'll have one hard race on your hands. LS1's pull hard as hell on the interstate. Nice numbers BTW.

Actually two weeks age on the way from Atlanta dragway we and I say we Tim a friends of mine with a charger SRT8 and Myslef Magnum SRT8 raced a guy with a built LS1 who was also running low to mid 13's at the track raced on the way home several runs from about 60-120 and neither one of us had a problem out running him. I have also raced a freinds WS6 who on a dyno put down 391 at the wheels he has a six speed and corsa exhasut with Lt's and it was almost even I could barely pull away from him. Im not at all stating that our cars a real fast we just dont get a lot of credit where credit needs to be given. the only mods i have on my car are CAI and Exhaust. I want to do more there is just not alot of new stuff out for our cars at the moment and im sure things will be released soon. B&G Performance finally has come out with a computer upgrade ECU for our cars and guys that have installed the mon there cars are running mid to high 12's on the east coast. a few guys are running very low 12's on the west coast due to different air and elevations.
By the way on the comment about racing a built SS 6 speed I have a very close friend of mine who has a Blackbird TA with full GMMG rebuilt motor and dyno'd 596rwhp and I can'tt come close nor would I would even try he is selling for 28K if anyone is interested. his car ran a best of 10.02@154 at our local track which is known not to be a very fast tack. but his car is not set up for drag racing more sutied for road racing.
As far as bolt ons go wait until we get some decent boltons for our cars!![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
just for an example this guy has a 392 stroker kit on his srt8 and his times arent bad

They are impressive cars, especially for their size. Sounds like you've had some good runs! I can't even get a 5.7L charger to race me around here so I have no clue as to how my car would fair against a Hemi. I ran into a black SRT-8 Charger a couple weeks ago, BTW, I about nutted myself when I saw that car! I would love to own one as a family car to haul my kids around in. Anyway, I pulled up next to the guy driving it and gave him a friendly wave but he just shook his head and ignored me. Oh well, I'll get lucky and get a run one of these days hopefully. At least your driving your car how it's made to be driven!

No "Built" ls1 runs 13's. If they do, theres something wrong.
SRT8's are sick cars though, and i'm sure they are plenty powerfull.
My dad has the hemi Jeep, with just the 5.7 and that thing just
about chirps all the tires from a stop.

There is no way a 400h0 srt8 can pull a 400hp f-body. I'm not sure if you know it or not but ls1's run low-mid 13's stock so a bulit ls1 would be a lot faster than that. And bolton ls1's are in the 12's.
I think MYSRT8U and Blackmaro99 should race and get it on video

Or if you are ever near Atlanta, give me a shout and we'll line em up. I see you live pretty close.

I've run at Silver Dollar and Atlanta Dragway, but never with the same cars (various cars I've had) and have been curious of the difference of times between the 2 based on the ~600 ft elevation difference, track prep, etc.
