Man I've never had a problem with M6s from a roll. In fact, I put 2 cars on my friend's 99 M6 T/A from a 50-100mph roll.... and he has the same mods as me PLUS 4.10 gears and CAI. Autos downshift just as good as you can downshift your standard, not just 1 gear... where do you get your information from, have you ever even driven an automatic?????

And you want to compare a stock auto... when I was bone stock I raced a LS1 M6 WS6 from a 50-140 roll and stayed DEAD EVEN.

 

OMG What is with you auto people....I swear....I got my information from experiences racing autos....I have NEVER been beat by one....not to say I never will or anything like that....I dono why I beat them...maybe they cant drive their automatic

The only reason I figured you have never driven one is because you said that automatics only downshift 1 gear.

Hmm... You can slow down with out braking in a Auto also.. And when im going 20-30 miles in OD and i punch it im back in 1st.. I dont see anywhere of your were-abouts but if ur near Richmond IN i will be glad to show you how a automatic works in a stock LS1.. Also the launching of any rpms may be true.. but at the same time if u launch at 3-4k rpms how much traction are u gonna have on stock tires? Given mod for mod i would put my money on a auto... Unless its a Highway race which from what i see alot of the times manuals can win but i have always been stock so once i start modding i will know more i suppose.. But as of now Manuals own me in highspeed highway races.. they always get about .5-1 car..

I raced an 00....same mods I had with.....he had a programmer.....I had a maf.....he also had a stall.......from a 20 I pulled away and won by 1 and a haft......and we all know that autos have the fastest track times......

Yeah all the races Ive encountered with auto are on the highway....so yeah
