CrAzY Story!!
CrAzY Story!! Ok so Im driving home from work and I come up to a Red light and I see another black Ws6 coming up in the right lane....they pull forward just enough for me to see JUST the hood...couldnt see the driver.....So im sitting there and all of a sudden the car starts revving like crazy and the car pulls forward a little as I get ready to launch....I look over and I SWEAR there is a 80 year old lookin lady just waiting to race....she had the grey curly hair, big magnafying glasses and a sweater on!!!!! Im just thinking HOLY ****!!! So the light hit green and she roasts them!! It was HILARIOUS!!! so I go slow driving like normal thinking I dont want to race an 80 year old....then I just think what the hell and then downshift back to 1st and race over I passed her pretty quick cause she had an automatic....Anyways just thought I would share this CrAzY experience....
Later that evening im cruisin around and I see some headlights coming up on me quick....thinkin it was a cop I make sure Im doing the speed limit as the car passes its a burgundy 94-97 Cobra (bad *** sounding!) he just takes off and we play follow the leader for awhile till we hit a red light....After the light hit green I slowly started going then punched it and noticed my traction control was on
he got maybe 2 feet ahead of me....while im shifting to 2nd I pull a chuck norris move and hit the TC button off just as I shift and immediately pulled about 4 cars on him....I let off around 95 with bus lengths on him....I tried to give him a thumbs up as I meged onto the highway....he just revved real loud at me and did a ricer fly by....

LoL I know alot of you probably dont believe it but I swear on everything!! LoL I called my gf right after it happened......she did have an automatic and I did pass her very quickly...I dono why that comment was funny? She was probably completely stock I dono...
Well I dono I have never really raced a fast automatic....everyone I race I pass very fast and stay ahead a good distance...dono

OOoooo LOL thats not how I meant it....I mean it like...she had an automatic and I passed her very quick....LoL sorry i was drunk last night....anyways Automatics are always faster shifting....when I get my turbo together Ill be going auto as well...cant shift faster than an auto tranny

Yah cause driving a Auto LS1 compared to a 6spd LS1 is like racing a Civic EX i suppose also....wtf
Auto's are NO SLOWER then Standard's

right...i supose a Stalled auto is slower from a launch and a roll too 
say if you have 2 stock LS1's....
Ones a auto, and the other is a 6 speed....
go from a 20 roll guess what, they should be pretty damn even. Why?? because they are in the same power band.
When you floor a Auto, does it NOT downshift into the proper gear to keep it up in the higher RPMS?? some people act like a auto downshifts only once and its not enough. If your at the right RPMS a auto will infact downshift 2-3 gears also....
Only difference is Dyno numbers. Thats it. End of story.

Oh and If you had 2 stock LS1s racing from a dig like you said I would put my money on the 6speed....He can launch at any RPM
and like you said IF its in the right RPMS it will downshift 2-3 gears....I can down shift like that almost anytime I choose
AND LIKE I SAID....from MY experiences Autos have always lost to me
