Maybe you skipped a few english classes...I said body kit AND suspension. Not to mention the Rims/Tires vs. Reg. GT's. It's not hard to reach 200 #s with those three things.

Wouldn't most aftermarket suspension setups actually weigh less than stock? Just look at how bulky stock k-members and upper and lower control arms. All the aftermarket stuff looks way lighter to me. I don't know much about coil overs, though. Saleens are what they are. They are nice special edition cars than handle great, and have good perforance. I personnaly am not impressed with their power and 1/4 performance, but it's still a hell of a car. I'm not a fan of the base level saleen.

I admit, I should not speak of the S197 saleens as I am not too familiar with them....I am mostly going off of New edge..those did have a heavier suspension.

I agree..although I think the Roush's in S197s look better, I still like the Saleens....just too much $$ for what you get. I'd rather GT500 or spice up a my mach some more.

Good. So maybe cram your attitude.

Suspension mods almost always reduce weight. And they will virtually never add 50 lbs a corner.

K members reduce weight.

Rims can too, even when larger than stock. High quality aluminum is lighter than the cheap crap most stock wheels are made even if they are "alloys".

Body kits are almost always fiber-glass. Which means maybe 50 lbs at most.

The only real weight adding mod I can think of is if it has track oriented brakes. larger rotors will add weight.

But 200-300LBS? I suspect measuring error. Thats all I am saying.
