Well thanks for following through and posting up the videos, alot of people claim there are "races" to take place and we never hear from them again, good to see someone actually doing it. Good runs, try some dig races next time.

As for the NSX and the LS1, I agreed to go from a dig. But that night it had started to rain pretty hard and neither of us would have launched very well. We agreed to set up another race on a sunny day that would be safer for everyone. When it happens, We will post vids again.

So Killemall were you the one that said I must have raced a 3.0 NSX when I pummeled one on the freeway? And your buddy only won 2 to 1 to a basically stock F-body... Please tell me that wasn't you

well.. I'm not going to say that I raced an LS1 or LT1.. I wouldn't know the difference. I just know it's a camaro Z28 and it's bad ***.
I wouldn't have first hand knowledge of whether or not you did race a 3.0. or a 3.2 And I'm not going to question that. But here is food for thought.
I'm going to show you pictures of a 91 and my 05. you tell me what the car you raced looked like.
I only raced that guy for fun. and he was an extremely good sport about it. He and I will set up a run from a dig, and I know that it will be very close.
good kill on an NSX though.

Guys...My fiend wih the NSX was being very generous in saying the LS1 won a race. If you watch the vid you can see the Z28 start a car ahead and hit it a full second before the NSX. And it still looks like the NSX was dead even with him in the vid at the end..
I personally watched each race about an 1/4 mile behind them at many different levels of elevation. They must have raced 4-5 times. From what i saw the NSX pulled anywere from 2-5 cars in each race besides the one were the Z28 was a car ahead and hit it early.
Let me say that again..2-5 cars in only 70 mph spans. It was pretty bad for the Ls1 guys. Will a manual do better. Maybe a little off the initial hit. But dont kid your selves.
The average 3.23 Fbody traps 104-105 while the average 3.42 manual trapps 106-107..
This specific 3.23 geared auto hadan after market exhaust and rear seats removed. It was a 105-106 mph rapping car on average. VERY close o what the 3.42 manual will do.
When your comparing a 2.73 auto to a 3.42 manual your comparing a 102-103 mph car to a 106-107 mph car and the mn6 is much faster.
Even a 3.08 auto vrs 3.42 is a 103-104 mph car vrs the manual 106-107..
But when GM started installing the 3.23 in ALL auto Fbodies they were on to somthing. A 104-105 mph trapping auto is right their with the 106-107 mph trapping 3.42 manual.
So you guys need to et the whole if it was a mn6 thing go. Cas with the mods and weight reduction this 3.23 geared auto Z28 would run within 1 mph of a 100% bone stock mn6 Z28 at the strip.
AND TRUST ME 1 MPH WOULDNT HAVE MENT MUCH IN THESE RACES

Nice runs and vid. The story's a bit overdone but decent. What's really nice is to see the contestants show up and be civilized. There's enough E-thuggery goin' on as it is so civility is a welcome change.

Not to brag but I think I know the difference between a fixed headlight NSX or not
I never said an NSX couldn't beat a stock F-body, I just think its funny that someone would say that theres no way I could have beaten an NSX before knowing what I even drive!
I am just wondering if thats you Killemall?
RSKY what speed were you rolling on from and what gear were you in at what rpm?
