The cars sound reminds me of this Shelby Cobra 427 with a 3 speed I heard once. I love that sound. Someday I will have a car that sounds like that.

Why did the STi choose to run 5 times when it was evident after 1 race what would happen?

Some people enjoy racing regardless of the outcome.

If it's a good run i'll even need to shift into 5th. my redline in 4th is exactly 130 @ 7000 RPM and I expect to trap 132 - 134.

Just a little FYI.
Why are they always on "low boost"? Everytime a turbo car gets beat, they are always on "low boost". Does anyone else notice this?

This perplexes me.

I believe your claimed times should be the ones you can pull onto a strip and run at anytime. If you run 91 octane everywhere but the track, claim the 91 octane times. To claim the 11.7, you should include an axiom including "on race fuel with more boost". Getting beat, then pointing out your "low boost" doesn't reflect very well on the driver IMO. Just say "ya beat me, good run". The STI is fast, and I had to respect it for going up against a 550rwhp stroker, but it made me sad when I read the "disclaimers".

I bet it would be a good idea if you stopped trying to defend your car and just let it go.

We understand that..

Stop making ricer excuses though.

You lost because our car is slower. Its not as fast. Its slower than a Camaro stock, and its slower when you mod it.

Thats why you lost. Not because you were "low on boost dawg"

Ok, I'm confused. The STI owner didnt claim he was on low boost, the Fbody owner did. So how is the STI owner making excuses when he didnt say it?

Either way, you run what you brung. If it wasnt enough, bring more next time or go home.

Lay off the STi owner he has a sweet car as does the 427 camaro which I would trade my grandparents for!!! Great races, I agree just run for fun even if you are going to lose, that is what it is about...having fun.

I was referring to this, which was posted before the Camaro guy pointed out the "low boost".

My original post was to point out the striking fact that a turbo car beating nearly always has an aisde including something about "low boost", or "pump gas", or "my sister was in the backseat".

And I'll say it again, I like/respect the STI. Any car that can do a limiter dump on the street and hook is enough to make any RWD cringe, no matter what it is or how much power it makes. My hat is off to you by stepping up against a 550rwhp car.

I'm just tired of hearing about "low boost".

If I can't do it with pump gas in the tank, I don't give a baker's F@#K.
