Wanted to race one yesterday but he wouldnt have it. We both stopped at the light together. i guess he didnt want to mess up his custom paint job. Then he gunned it into the turn lane. look nice but dont seem that quick compared to an ls1.

even a 2007 wont be any danger. a 2007 350z would be a good race for a Auto Vert 2.73 geared ls1 thats 100% stock.


those cars are nice and all. but like someone else stated. without FI they really dont take well to mods.

^ if thats true it is kinda impressive. I mean its a circa 3350LB car with NA 3.5L V6 and its running IIRC a 3.50 gear or so and pretty conservative gears in the tranny itself.

It wont mod like an LS1 or pull with an M6 and all and its a bit pricey, but for someone who just wants a fun new car and has the cash it's not a bad choice. Its as fast more or less then as a stock GT, lots better looking than an Evo or STi. So for an unmodded fun car thats pretty good IMHO.

Now WTF they dont offer it with a turbo is beyond me. (Nissan engineer voice) "Hey look: We have a strong driveline, a tough chassis, good stock tire size, a reliable iron block and moderate compression and some decent room at the front of the engine bay. Lets leave it NA!"

I just dont get it. You would think that if they offer fricken 40K hype-mobile special editions someone could have put a 6 psi blower at least on it for like 35K and had a reasonable warranty.

i don't visit the 350z websites very often, but when i do, i like to check their 1/4 mile times and what not. to my surprise, i'm seen drivers running low 13's@ 104-106mph in bone stock trim. so it looks like the little v6 got a little bit more stronger this year. of course, always is something messed up. the 07 clutch doesn't seem to be as stronger as before. most of them are reporting issues with soft clutch pedals after having some fun at the 1/4 mile track. not bad for what they're, but i also think they're pricey little cars.

blue goat. trust me. go to a track. and you wont see them run anyhting close to low 13's 98% of them run 14s to 13.7ish being usually the fastest. those guys running low 13's are not as stock as the claim to be.

their good cars. but ive ran vs alot of 350z. and when i was stock running 13.5@105 i ran vs a modded 05 350z intake/exhaust/tune/smaller underdrive pulley. and from 70-130ish i had 5 cars on him and was pulling him pretty good. im pretty sure he with those mods is pushing more hp than an 07 350z. the 07 350s only got like a 5 hp boost or something and lost some tq in the process. so i really dont see why they would be any quicker? thats not enoguh of a power gain all around to take a high 13 ave sec car to low 13s.

Guys, I just found out he is gonna be at the drag strip this friday night. What he doesn't know is I'm gonna be there too. If he doesn't line up with me I am going to get all my buddies to give him so much hell he will never want to come out of his room again. And even if he does run me, after he loses, they are gonna give him hell too. Sorry, but he shouldn't talk trash and then expect not to get ragged. If he just wanted to run me and said it would be a good race or somethin, that's all fine and good and I could respect that. But he was sayin he could "knock two cylinders off of his puny V6 and still kick my ***." Now he's just asking for it, I am going to eat him alive like that old WS6 commercial that got banned where my car eats a ricer at a red light. I'll let yall know how it goes

This is funny! Most people dont know how to drive, to the potential of the car. Most break into the 13's with their 350z's and some have dipped into the mid 13sec range. The 07's, are far superior than previous years and those have dipped into mid 13's with 2.2 60ft at 105+.

It is also funny that Motortrend & Car and driver, happen to hit low 14's in a GTP, but 13.7 at 101-102 in a 04 G35(which is heavier).

Yeah... and it was rape cuz he couldn't drive. They aren't "slow" cars, and you're not gonna pull 15 cars on one in a race like that, in a stock F-body.

Good luck at the track, hope he doesnt back out, and make sure that there are plenty of video camera's around. I would like to see his fdace when youwalk up on him and punk him out, and then the pissed look on his face after beat him in the 1/4.

the 07's definately have a weaker clutch. I'm running 12.1@113 on a stock nissan clutch in my 04.

As far as stock times. Average for the 03-06 are 13.8-14.1 for good drivers. For the 07's it has been 13.4-13.6 for good drivers. They did more than just raise the hp alittle. They made it rev higher now, changed the tranny gears and other small things.

Most do not "break into the 13's". I've never even seen a 350Z hit 13's at the track, modded or not. Fastest was 14.1. Most were running mid 14's. They are slow and have a shitty powerband. How are the 07's so much better?? Looks like the same damn car.

Why is it funny that the G35 was faster than the GTP?? The G35 weighs less by 60lbs, has 40 more HP, and has a 6 speed vs the GTP's 4 speed auto. Yet the G35 is only a few tenths faster?? Whats pathetic?? Your precious Jap crap, thats what

this wont be much fo a race for you, even with full bolt ons, they are not very quick cars, the really wake up after FI. however the new 07', will be alot stronger, as they have changed a bunch of things on them, and they should run mid 13's stock
