Thumbs up Killed 02 SS the other night... (pretty good story)

The other night (Friday) at a local hangout I go to every weekend there was a Black 02 SS with headers, true duals, dyno tune, and not sure if anything else. Anyways, I've never seen this guy before and he showed up looking for a race. He was tellin my buddy that he just got his car dyno tuned and he wanted to run a quick car to see what he had, he went on to say he doesn't lose much and wants a challenge. So anyways, my buddy told him my car was pretty quick and I would probably run him. He asked me what I had I told him "the green camaro over there", he says, "oh... the LT1?!" I said yep, he had a sarcastic kinda tone. He asked whats in it, I never told him it doesn't have an LT1 anymore but I said, mild cam, exhaust, bolt ons. So he said ok lets go. We went to our spot and he wanted to do a 20mph roll first, so I do 3 honks, he gets the jump and I pull about 3-3.5 cars on him to about 120mph and let off. So we go back around and he wants to do it from a dig, so we do 3 honks again, we take off about the same and I pull about 3 cars by 3rd gear (4.56 gears) and I missed 4th gear (1st time ever in a race to miss a gear), I got it in forth and he already let off. I was pullin on him hard that run though and it would of been probably about a 5 car pull or so. Anyways, we met back up and he was suprised as hell but he gave me my props, and really didn't say much more. Was fun. He has it on video...

LOL!
A Gen 1 motor is an LSx motor huh?

Good kill to the OP.
What happened to the LT1 in that beast anyways? You could got 400rwhp easy with a H/C 383 Stroker.

My forged LT1 pinged and burnt a piston. We had this All forged, balanced/blueprinted, better built 4-bolt mains SBC we already built sittin in our shop already so why not? All I had to buy to complete it was a set of heads and an intake. I'm happy with it, I havn't lost a race yet in I dont know how many runs... But I choose who I run wisely...
