the commemorative edition SRT10's are amazing.
the 6 speeds tend to put down on average above 400 hp. they tip the scales upwards of 5000 pounds too since they have to use the heavy duty frame to support the beast of an engine
but it doesnt matter which way you look at it, its still gonna be a obese beast of a vehicle and no matter how much power you put to the wheels, its still not gonna be THAT fast

go check out what the gm trucks are putting down. don't compare the gm cars to a truck. GM trucks are no different.

They are known to now hit high 12s on street tires. After a couple of years of figuring out how to launch them. 6sp is tough to launch.
No doubt a supercharged one putting down over 600hp should have no problem running mid 11s if not quicker. I wouldn't doubt the thing would run 10s with some higher octane and slicks, rofl.
Check out the srt-10 forums.

God your a moron. My SS in my sig never ran 10s. Should have been "no problem" though right?

If your 665rwhp SS ran 11's, it sucked, or you suck at driving. You must not have read anything but my post, ******* moron. God get the **** off my nuts.

I was just stating that its not as easy as making 600+ hp and showing up at the track, like you "insinuated". http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/insinuate
Oh and that you were a ******* moron.

You could have easily said that I was 'wrong', and left the whole 'moron' thing out of it. Thanks for ruining this thread, jackass.
Back on topic. What do stock-lightly modified SRT10 trucks trap? I was thinking about 105mph or so...If it's got 620rwhp, I'll estimate that it could trap in the 117-120 range?

I'm not too shabby at rowing that T56 either.
A SRT10 ram at 6 psi would have a better chance at sprouting wings and flying to the moon than running 10's.
My dad has an 04 regular cab SRT with O/R mids, catback, intake and a 250 shot and he runs 12.4 @ 117. (Traction is impossible in these trucks) By my calculations that is a little over 600 hp.
Anyway there is no way in hell your lightly modded Z28 outran that truck, sorry but its true. You might have got me on the dig run considering the truck probably spun through 2nd and into 3rd but there is no way he got the hit on the highway and you stayed with him.

Like I said, who want's his number? He'll tell you the same outcome. My "lightly modded Z28" would prob see low 12s pretty easy on a nice launch so what's so hard to believe about it?

That was kinda my line of thinking. Anything that traps 117 is going to bury a car that traps under 110 from a roll, easy.

OK, here's the slowest M6 on the list:
#42-Durien --------- 11.747 @ 117.59 (1.60), 99 Camaro SS M6, Cartek, 4.11, 3487, 02/04
With me inside weight is 3450lbs...When I raced the truck I had the amp/box/sub in the trunk, whatever that added. Last time I ran at the track was February 2005. My best 60' on the slipping stock clutch was a 1.84, bad knock sensor pulling timing, missed third, 12.94 at 107--Full weight minus rear seats, untuned.
(stock tune was putting down 318hp/340tq, that was baseline before the dynotune in February 2007) Who knows what it was getting to the ground through the stock clutch that was slipping.
Since that track run, dynotune/dropped weight to 3450 with me in it/spec 3+ & billet steel flywheel/Pro 5.0 (no more missed shift)
That's about all the information I can get you unless you have more questions.

great. Do you have any timeslips to back up that you could trap over 110? I see 111-112 absolutely tops, due to your 4.10's. I know what the stock internal records are, but those cars are usually gutted with some serious transmission/rear end upgrades.
