Yeah GTRs can be very fast. The RB26 has been known to make 900+RWHP with out ever having to remove the head. Should be interesting to see what kind of power Nissans new GTR will be able to make when it is released here next year.

I hope they REALLY TWEAK it more before it's released.

As it stands now, either way, it's the hottest Japanese GT right now, outclassing the others BY FAR... I've always been a big fan of all the GT-R's.

I have to strongly disagree. Maybe because where I am is %90 ricers, but I get way more looks by women than most other cars. As for the skyline, I totally respect that car, but it has no look. It really does look like a DD. performance wise it is great though. I would love to see them in the States. But it does NOT look performance, not even for a Jap car.

I've seen a few skylines down here, if you want to get really shifty, you can actually buy 'em cheap in japan, pay for shipping, and flirt the car around the DMV's and legalise it through Arkansas, Louisiana, an 'Bama.
They are still econoboxes... and they only have vastly inflated value in the grey markets. Yea, great power(and they require more work after 600whp than a ricer's idea of turn up teh b00st!), but I've seen more ratted ugly ones than clean exotic looking ones.

UMMM obviously you don't know what you're talking about... The GT-R hands asses to nearly every American car (not the Vette) and many European cars stock vs. stock on a road course... That mean it's NOT just a great engine but a world class GT chassis as well, don't you think?

Or a viper for that matter. What other american supercars are there? (not talking about Saleen S7's or anything like that) The Supra and Skyline are the Japanese supercars whereas the 'Vette and Viper are the American supercars. Stock for stock, the domestics take the win. We all know that the Skyline and Supra are freakin beasts modded however.

That's a pretty cool vid! Fast *** skyline, but it does still look like a WRX more than a real sportscar.

So you have a car that only the Z06 and the Viper are faster than here for a cheap price (R32-R34). I think that's pretty damn respectable.

The old R32 GT-R is faster than alot of AWESOME cars.

The fact that the new C6 and Viper are faster than the old GT-R's says alot about how awesome our Vette and Viper are in the twisties. It doesn't TAKE AWAY from the GT-R, it adds to them that they're even close... All these cars are badass.

And they're not all "supercars" either.

Yeah... 22 seconds faster than a C5 definitely ain't shabby. And that was the R32 Skyline, which came out in 1989, I believe.
