What slangs do they have for American made vehicles?

Anyways nice run with the Supra, they can be FAST with just a few bolt ons. Local Supra with just bolt ons was running mid 11s a few weeks back.

Totally hijacking this for a moment...

So did you ever verify whether the 7:40/7:42 run of the Corvette at Nurburgring was with a supercharger equipped Vette?

There was OVERWHELMING evidence the 7:42 run was definitely with an NA C6Z thrown in that thread last-minute. Plus, I did some research too...

EDIT: Slang for American vehicles? That's easy... 'Round here they're "dumbestics."

I found several sources contradticting eachother, some sources claimed the car was a blue devil(usually the initial reports) while others said it was a myth. Regardless though the driver was definetly Jan Magnussen.

Witha manual and 385 rwhp it would have been about dead even for me and him though..

Still, 385 rwhp is a full bolt on large cam LS1 vrs just a BPU Supra
70-140?

Ok maybe supras are kings of rice races (60-130+), but take that same supra and it will have its *** drug in a drag race. (a real race). Rice roll race only because thats the only place they can perform, save the awd cars.

Okay... Street Supras hold a very important place in the drag racing segment. If you underestimate their wide and varied achievements, then your mullet has grown too long and there is no hope.

I think it'd be a better discussion to go back to this whole "Auto C6's are not impressive for 3100 lb 400 hp (at the crank) cars." I would LOVE to hear more thoughts about this pretty crazy statement!

^Well, yeah. If it doesnt run 11s while chilling your drink, riding like a cloud, shifting for you, and all for 40K, it must suck LOL.

I would love to see what a basicly stock powered C6 does with a mild stall and gears and decent rubber. I'm willing to bet it would be freakin great and then people would say wow, its 3100LBs, 400HP, and an auto and it runs 12.XX and thats great LOL.

In other words, its not all in the stats. Few auto cars are going to run what the auto C6 does in its price and power range without comprimising driveability via gearing and such.

^ Yup... At 114 mph.

If that's not an impressive automatic for that price and drivability then I don't know what is!

OK done hijacking!!!
