On the way to work this morning on a 2 lane road(one lane flows south the other north). The speed limit is 55mph. and I am in no rush to get to work, so I am doing the speed limit. I notice a Civic Hatch behind me that starts riding my a$$. He has those gay Yellow head lights and I can see that he wants to pass when the other lane clears. Finally he gets enough room to pass and I decide to not let him . He downshifts and begins to pull past me. His Grape Fruit Shooter is going crazy and he looks over with a little smerk on his face. I just roll on the throttle and start to go by him. I proceed to point and laugh while surprisingly he gives me the thumbs up as i pass . I then let off the gass and let him pass me when the lane clears again cause he wasn't a jerk. I have never had a guy in a ricer give me the thumbs up so I felt like he was a good guy and must realize where he and his car stand in the little race that just accured. I give him the thumbs up when he passes me and I continue to drive to work feeling good, I shall have a nice day today.

 

He has to drive that car...he knows for sure.Im positive your ls1 isnt the first hes seen, or he knows someone with one and knew better.

True..I got a friend doin a b20 in a 94 hatch w/ a GSR head.Now its not impressive,maybe a low 14 but at least hes workin on it and knows where hes goin.

 

I'm sure that car could be in the 13s with drag radials... my stock GS-R ran a 14.97.

 

I think he picked the B20 for a "best of both worlds" kinda thing.A little torque and good top end.I spend a lot of time workin with him and helpin out when i can.so i learn as i go.Hes also got a 97 black gt with a saleen body kit and a burnt out clutch.U seem to have similiar tastes.I really like your choice of mods on your GT.

IMHO: bassani exhaust+any stang or cobra=sick.Aftermarket pipes on hondas=not such a great tone.a little rough on my ears.
The OPs post shows a guy bein cool and respectin the road.I dont like it when people get
stupid.And coolness is sometimes hard to find with all the personalities and makes on the road.Guy in a silver C6 burned me good and talked with me at the next light.Told me about AZ dyno chip and dropped some names.All in all an honorable death and i left feelin like it was worth the time.Wish it was like that all the time

 

i too have had an experience w/ a civic... it had the body kit..and street glow..lol howvever atleast it was all one color...it actually was a really nice ride..i could tell he spent time in doin right...its just not my taste but i wasnt gonna knock him for it......he passed me and smiled sooooo i just rolled my eyes and goosed the throttle alittle and he immediately through a thumbs up...at the next light he said " I KNOW i dont stand a chance in hell...but i love to hear these things RUN!!!"...i couldnt help but laugh...pretty cool dude
