there's a guy at work with a 2500 crew cab silverado 8.1 or whatever. Has put like 2 grand in parts on it and claims 500 hp. He has headers, no cats, catback, intake, and a programmer of some sort and a dual ram air lookin hood. Says he could smoke my car no problem.

Thanks, its my girls car. It is only a six right now. In the next couple of weeks we will be doing an lt1/M6 swap. I have gathered almost everything that I need to do it. Once she gets an LS1 T/A as a daily driver, I am going to build the lower end and do an AI heads and cam package (and probably swap the T56 back out for a th350) and shoot for high tens N/A.

BTW, I think that I toyed around with the origional poster of this thread the other day in my coupe. Traction is a mother Fuc*er!

bottom line scum bags are scum bags no matter what they drive it just seems to me that i've got more people in trucks that arent anything special by any means actin like they're gonna hand me my ***.For instance I pulled up behind a big turbo diesel Dodge Ram today and In HUGE letters he had a Cummings sticker that said "Eating Chevys and Shittin Fords" So I pull up next to the ******* and give him a Eat this Chevy 5500 rev and when the light turned his **** was so slow I coulda started in 2nd then I immediatly whipped in front of him so he could read my tag(reads BLU UAWY) as i stabbed second and left him.

I've had a few guys rev on me in their trucks.

On one occasion was some clown in a Dodge Ram that knew the S-10 I was driving at the time had a V8 in it.

No freakin' way on the 500 hp or the chance in hell he could touch your car...Or ANY car...He's running high 15's at best...

The stock SRT 10 quad cabs are way over-rated. I saw one run 15.2 four times in a row. I think it was an automatic. I beat him by 3/10's and I had a 2.4 60' time. I think those trucks could benefit greatly by getting some traction and some 4.56's.

Lightnings are no joke. 'nuff said.

As far as trying to race F bodies, I'll mess with the 82-92's a little bit, but if they're cammin' I won't even try... Mama didn't raise no fool... Mustangs are a different story... I'll run the 5.0's and the 4.6's up to the 98's, but that's it.

I was driving a Twin turbo stealth and I was mildly in the boost because this ******* Ram was all over my ***. Then it flew past me I wanted to down shift to third and get full boost and kick has *** but not worth it. People were hanging out the windows.

well think about it, if you were driving around in any random car that wouldnt have a chance against most cars and you drive up to a car you can tell is modded to hell, wouldn't you want to just see it mash the gas. hell, I'll race anything and everything even if I know i will be slaughtered just to see what they've got. I take it as a compliment. But you guys are right, when it comes down to it I can't find anything worth racing either, best I've had in probably the last 3 months is a BMW 650i

I had some mexicans pacing me on the interstate with their mid 90's Chevy truck, pep-boys trim, and primered front bumper. I'd floor it up to 90 and put a few car lenghts on them. They caught up and were egging me on and laughing, I just waved them on and they gave me the thumbs up and sped up to 85.

Also got schooled by a very clean mid 90's Chevy. It was red and the plate read ULOSE Sounded like a BBC drag car, sucker was cammin and shaking my car at the light. It wasn't pretty, he had 4 car lengths on me by 60. Then the ****** wouldn't roll down his window at the next light to chat.

Some dumbass in a mid-90's Dodge Ram revved at me one day. I have an open Borla on my car. I was just accelerating normally from a light when he revved at me. He didn't even have a flowmaster on it.
